Chongqing
ChongqingPostal Romanization, Previously romanized as Chungking ();. is a direct-administered municipality in Southwestern China. Chongqing is one of the four direct-administered municipalities under the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Central People's Government, along with Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin. It is the only directly administrated municipality located deep inland. Jiulongpo () is a district forming part of the western part of the Chongqing urban core (). It covers an area of 432 km², with a resident population of 1.54 million and an urbanization rate of 94%. 2024 GDP is 206 billion yuan.
