Irish Recorded Music Association
The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. It is particularly active in addressing copyright issues, and it compiles the official music charts for Ireland. Membership Only Irish companies can become members of the IRMA. All members pay a yearly fee based on company size. Currently, the IRMA has 51 member companies. Sharon Shannon (born 8 June 1968) is an Irish musician, best known for her work with the button accordion and for her fiddle technique. She also plays the tin whistle and melodeon. Her 1991 debut album, '' Sharon Shannon,'' was the best-selling album of traditional Irish music ever released in Ireland. Beginning with Irish folk music, her work demonstrates a wide-ranging number of musical influences. She won the lifetime achievement award at the 2009 Meteor Awards. It is similar to his previous single " Now You're Gone" in that it is an English remake using music based on a previous Basshunter track, without any lyrical connection. Leanne Moore
Leanne Moore (born 24 July 1984) is the winner of the 2008 series of ''You're a Star'' on Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). Born and raised in Limerick, Moore made it to the final along with fellow contestants Robyn Kavanagh and Deirdre Archibald. For the final, Moore sang "Piece of My Heart", "Run" and " Let's Stay Together". Moore was not favourite to win the competition, despite Louis Walsh stating that she had the most star potential during his appearance as a guest judge. Her debut single " On Wings" went to number one on the Irish Singles Chart on 27 June 2008. She recently returned from a trip to New York where she recorded songs for her debut album.
