This is a list of songs that reached #1 on the RIAJ Digital Track Chart chart in Japan in 2010. The highest-selling digital singles in Japan are published by '' Recording Industry Association of Japan''. PC downloads and ringtone downloads are not eligible for the chart, only cellphone downloads (''Chaku-uta Full'') count for the chart. The chart week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. The final week of 2009, starting December 29, was merged with the following week (12/30-1/5) due to New Year's celebrations (in a similar manner to Oricon). RIAJ Digital Track Chart
The was a record chart that ranks the best selling digital singles in Japan, with data provided by the Recording Industry Association of Japan from April 2009. The chart measures cellphone downloads (着うたフル ''Chaku-Uta Full'') (not downloads from PCs, or ringtones (着うた ''Chaku-Uta'')). On July 27, 2012, the service that tracked the charts was shut down. History The RIAJ originally started certifying digital downloads in August 2006. At the same time, they began posting a monthly chart called the (officially the ). This now defunct chart ranked the highest Chaku-uta (ringtone) downloads for the month. The chart was disbanded in March 2009 (the final month's data being February 2009), and was replaced by the identically named weekly Chaku-Uta Full chart. "Love Rain (Koi no Ame)" is a song recorded by Japanese R&B singer Toshinobu Kubota for his compilation album, '' Love & Rain: Love Songs'' (2010). The song was released on June 6, 2010, as the lead single from the album. Background "Love Rain (Koi no Ame)" was written and produced by Kubota, and arranged by Yoichiro Kakizaki. It served as the theme song for the Japanese TV drama '' Tsuki no Koibito ~Moon Lovers~''. It is noted that the English version of the song appears on the album ''Gold Skool''. "Ring a Ding Dong" is Japanese musician Kaela Kimura's 16th physical Single (music), single, released on June 9, 2010. The song was used in a wide-scale commercial campaign for NTT DoCoMo, which featured Kimura in the commercials. Background This single is the first to be released after Kimura's hit song "Butterfly (Kaela Kimura song), Butterfly," and the first after the announcement of her marriage to Japanese actor Eita Nagayama, Eita. is a song by Japanese pop singer Kana Nishino. It was released as her 10th single on May 19, 2010. The song is produced by Giorgio Cancemi, writer of many of Nishino's hit songs (such as "Best Friend (Kana Nishino song), Best Friend," "Motto..." and "Tōkutemo"). Fuyumi Sakamoto
is a Japanese female enka singer under EMI Music Japan. Career Having won a singing contest in early 1986, and after receiving about 11 months of vocal training, Sakamoto debuted as an enka recording singer with the single "Abare Daiko" in March 1987, and was well received. In 1988, she took part in the 39th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen (New Year's Eve "song battle") for the first time. As of 2017, she has taken part 29 times, missing only the 53rd (2002) edition due to illness. This achievement placed Sakamoto on the 5th place (tied with another enka veteran Harumi Miyako) for the most Kōhaku appearances for a female artist. Sakamoto was also a vocalist of rock band HIS ( ja) with bassist and producer Haruomi Hosono and guitarist Kiyoshiro Imawano, though Imawano died in 2009.
