Virtus Roma 1960, commonly known as Virtus Roma, is an Italian professional basketball club based in Rome, Lazio. History Established in 1949, the first incarnation of the club, Montecatini Sporting Club, played in the first division Serie A from 1989 to 2001 (with spells in the second division Serie A2) before declaring bankruptcy in 2001.
