Mosque
A mosque (; from ar, مَسْجِد, masjid, ; literally "place of ritual prostration"), also called masjid, is a Place of worship, place of prayer for Muslims. Mosques are usually covered buildings, but can be any place where prayers (sujud) are performed, including outdoor courtyards. The first mosques were simple places of prayer for Muslims, and may have been open spaces rather than buildings. In the first stage of Islamic architecture, 650-750 CE, early mosques comprised open and closed covered spaces enclosed by walls, often with minarets from which Adhan, calls to prayer were issued. Mosque buildings typically contain an ornamental niche (''mihrab'') set into the wall that indicates the direction of Mecca (''qiblah''), Wudu, ablution facilities. Busaiteen
Busaiteen ( ar, البسيتين) is a small town in northern Bahrain. It is located on Muharraq Island, just north of Muharraq City. Etymology The town's name, "''Busaiteen''," pertains to the large number of orchards found in it. Education Busaiteen has to its credit the first school in Bahrain and in the entire Persian Gulf region, which is Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifia School. The Medical University of Bahrain which is a fully owned constituent university of RCSI, opened its new campus in Busaiteen in September 2008. Hamad Town
Madinat Hamad or ''Hamad Town'' ( ar, مدينة حمد, Madīnat Ḥamad) is a primarily commuter city within northern Bahrain. It was a municipality of Bahrain in the central part of the country. Split from the municipality of Ar Rifa' wa al Mintaqah al Janubiyah in 1991, its territory is now in the Northern Governorate. Diyar Al Muharraq () is a complex of seven artificial islands in the archipelago of Bahrain, located northeast of the capital, Manama, on Bahrain Island. History It's named after Muharraq Island, which is located near it. In December 2015 Dragon City Mall, a Chinese-themed shopping center operated by Chinamex, was completed on the islands. Galali, Bahrain
Galali (in local dialect) or Qalali in Classical Arabic ( ar, قلالي) is a small area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located on Muharraq Island, north of Muharraq City. Galali used to be the farthest north point of Bahrain before the development of the manmade artificial islands of Amwaj Islands. Around 2000 people used to live in Galali (1991 census). Today, Galali is 16 times bigger than it was 25 years ago because of reclamation of sea. The inhabitants of the village are mostly Sunni Arabs, Arabized Persians, and African-Bahrainis. Before the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most of the town's inhabitants were seamen who were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. Budaiya
Al Budaiya ( ar, البديع) is a coastal town located in the northwestern region of Bahrain Island, in the Northern Governorate of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It neighbors the villages of Diraz and Bani Jamra. History The town was founded by the Dawasiri tribe, but most of the tribe left en masse to mainland Saudi Arabia in 1923, after conflict emerged with the British colonial authorities. Many Dawasir tribe members later returned to Budaiya, with some still living in the village today. Prior to the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most Budaiya residents were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. Muhammad ( ar, مُحَمَّد; 570 – 8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
