Rauf Orbay
Hüseyin Rauf Orbay (27 July 1881 – 16 July 1964) was a Turkish naval officer, statesman and diplomat of Abkhaz origin. During the Italo–Turkish and Balkan Wars he was known as the Hero of '' Hamidiye'' for his exploits as captain of the eponymous cruiser. Orbay briefly served as Minister of Navy in October 1918, and signed the Armistice of Mudros on behalf of the Ottoman Empire. He played an important role in the Turkish War of Independence, during which he served as the prime minister of the Ankara government between 12 July 1922 and 4 August 1923. During the Republican period he was one of the founders of the Progressive Republican Party. He was put on trial for his involvement in an alleged assassination attempt against Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and sentenced to ten years in prison. Hasan Polatkan
Hasan Polatkan (1915 – 16 September 1961) was a Turkish politician and Minister of Labor and Finance, who was executed by hanging after the coup d'état in 1960 along with two other cabinet members. Early years He was born 1915 in Eskişehir, Ottoman Empire (now Turkey) to a family of Crimean Tatar descent. He studied political science at Istanbul University. After his graduation in 1936, Polatkan worked at the state-owned Ziraat Bank as inspector. İsmail Rüştü Aksal (1911 – September 13, 1989) was a Turkish civil servant and politician. Biography He was born in Pamukova district of Sakarya Province in 1911. After graduating from the Istanbul High School in 1930 and Faculty of Political Sciences in 1933, he succeeded in equivalence exam of law. Up to 1946 he served as a civil servant in the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce. During the World War II years he served as a finance advisor of the Turkish embassy in London. In 1946 he went into politics and he served in the Turkish parliament in 1946–1950, 1957–1960, 1961–1965 terms. In 1969 he quit politics. He served in the board of management of İş Bankası. Ali Fuat Ağralı (1877 – 11 May 1957) was a Turkish politician. Early years He was born in 1877 in Agra village of the Greek island Lesbos, then a part of the Ottoman Empire (whence he later adopted his surname, Ağralı, "of Agra"). He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in 1903 and the Faculty of Law in 1908 both in Constantinople. During his early years he translated an Arabic book to Turkish and he was praised by Ahmet Mithat, an important Ottoman journalist. Mehmet Şükrü Saracoğlu (; 17 June 1887 – 27 December 1953) was a Turkish people, Turkish politician, the fifth prime minister of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Turkey), Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs during the early stages of World War II. A heavy-handed modernist, he served in various ministerial posts and finally as the Prime Minister of Turkey between 1946 and 1947.
