Lydia Gouardo (born 13 November 1962) is a French woman, born in Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne, who was imprisoned for 28 years, raped, and tortured by her stepfather, Raymond Gouardo, in their home in Meaux and Coulommes in Seine et Marne. The abuse took place from 1971 to 1999. Background and disappearance Lydia gave birth to six children, all by her stepfather, who was born in Paris on 24 May 1937. During her imprisonment, she escaped and phoned legal aid, but her stepfather recaptured her in a family residence in Melun. She was finally freed on 20 November 1999 when her stepfather died. John Thomas Jamelske (born May 9, 1935) is an American serial rapist-kidnapper who, from 1988 to his apprehension in 2003, kidnapped a series of girls and women and held them captive in a concrete bunker beneath the yard of his home in Fayetteville, New York, a suburb of Syracuse, New York, United States. Jamelske pleaded guilty to five counts of first degree kidnapping, and is currently serving a term of 18 years to life. Before abductions Jamelske was born and raised in the DeWitt area. On October 15, 2018, 21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson abducted 13-year-old Jayme Lynn Closs after fatally shooting her parents, James and Denise Closs, at their home just outside of Barron, Wisconsin, at 12:53 a.m. Patterson took Closs to a house away in rural Gordon, Wisconsin, and held her in captivity for 88 days until she escaped on January 10, 2019, seeking help from neighbors.
