Juggling is a physical skill, performed by a juggler, involving the manipulation of objects for recreation, entertainment, art or sport. The most recognizable form of juggling is toss juggling. Juggling can be the manipulation of one object or many objects at the same time, most often using one or two hands but also possible with feet. The Flying Karamazov Brothers
The Flying Karamazov Brothers (FKB) are a juggling and comedy troupe that has been performing since 1973. They learned their trade busking as street artists starting in Santa Cruz, California, eventually going on to perform nationally and internationally, including on Broadway stages. The "brothers" took their act's name from the Fyodor Dostoevsky novel ''The Brothers Karamazov'', drawing parallels between themselves and the novel's characters. Though they refer to themselves onstage as "brothers", none are actually blood relatives. Michael Moschen
Michael Moschen (born 1955 in Greenfield, Massachusetts) is an American juggler. He received a Fellowship from the MacArthur Foundation (the Genius Grant) in 1990, has appeared on TV on PBS, and did ads for Motorola. Cirque du Soleil commissioned Moschen to create a new work for their permanent theatrical circus in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moschen is particularly known for contact juggling. In the 1986 film ''Labyrinth'' the crystal ball manipulations seen to be performed by David Bowie's character were actually done by Moschen, who stood behind Bowie during filming. Since Moschen could not see the objects he was juggling, it took many takes to film the scenes with the crystal balls. Mills Mess
In toss juggling, Mills' Mess is a popular juggling pattern, typically performed with three balls although the props used and the number of objects can be different. The pattern was invented by and named after Steve Mills. It is a well-known trick among jugglers and learning it is considered somewhat of a milestone, "a mind-boggling pattern of circling balls, crossing and uncrossing hands, and unexpected catches." Steve Mills (born in 1957 in Marion, Ohio) is an American juggler and unicyclist from Morristown, New Jersey. He is the inventor of the " Mills' Mess" juggling pattern. Mills was taught to juggle by Ron Graham, a juggler and mathematician. The Dazzling Mills Family In 1978, Steve married Carol Sue Haines. They began performing a juggling and unicycle act, later accompanied by their children Michelle and Anthony. Together the group became known as The Dazzling Mills Family. They have performed at venues such as Harlem Globetrotters basketball games, the Arnold Fitness Expo, fairs, and schools. Bobby May (born Ludwig Theodore Mayer, February 20, 1907–November 7, 1981) was a vaudeville-era juggler. He is considered one of the best American jugglers. Biography Bobby May was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Bobby May performed his first professional act at Cleveland's Luna Park in 1923 along with a young Bob Hope.
