Internet Radio
Internet radio, also known as online radio, web radio, net radio, streaming radio, e-radio and IP radio, is a digital audio service transmitted via the Internet. Broadcasting on the Internet is usually referred to as webcasting since it is not transmitted broadly through wireless means. It can either be used as a stand-alone device running through the Internet, or as a software running through a single computer. Internet radio is generally used to communicate and easily spread messages through the form of talk. It is distributed through a wireless communication network connected to a switch packet network (the internet) via a disclosed source. Internet radio involves streaming media, presenting listeners with a continuous stream of audio that typically cannot be paused or replayed, much like traditional broadcast media; in this respect, it is distinct from on-demand file serving. LRA Radio Nacional
LRA Radio Nacional, also known as ''Radio Nacional Argentina'', is the Argentine national radio station, and part of the national public media system. It started transmitting in 1937 as LRA Radio del Estado and changed its name to the current one in 1957. Since 1949, National Radio is also in charge of the Radiodifusión Argentina al Exterior, an international service that broadcasts in numerous languages. The radio's programs focus on Argentine news, and culture, and history, among other things. Music broadcast includes all kind of Argentine songs - from Folklore to Tango and Argentine Rock. 1079 Life (callsign: 5RAM) is a Christian radio station in Adelaide, South Australia. 1079 Life broadcasts on the 107.9 MHz frequency. History 1079 Life began broadcasting on October the 6th, 1993. But it was 20 years of preparation and planning before then that brought the dream into a reality. The station began broadcasting under the name "Alta Mira FM". Later it was renamed "Life FM". In September 2016, Life FM rebranded and changed its name to "1079 Life", dropping the FM in the title in recognition of the emergence of digital radio, not just the FM band. KJMJ (580 AM) is a Catholic radio station broadcasting from Alexandria, Louisiana, United States. It is the originating station of Radio Maria USA, The World Family of Radio Maria's US operations, airing Catholic programming including a mix of traditional Catholic worship and contemporary Christian music, along with a weekday Mass, frequent recitals of the Holy Rosary and various talk and teaching programs on the Catholic faith. It is simulcast on nine full powered stations and one low powered translator, and its audio stream can be accessed from its website and via apps for iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows and Android mobile phone devices. HMWN Radio Maria (for Holy Mother World Networks) is a non-commercial Catholic broadcaster which operates as a closed circuit Subsidiary Communications Multiplex Operation (SCMO) and uses the subcarrier frequency of 67 kHz removed from the centre FM broadcast frequency of 102.1 MHz (CFNY-FM, a Corus Entertainment station licensed to Brampton) in Toronto, Ontario. HMWN's offices and studios are also located in Toronto. In addition to the FM subchannel, HMWN is also being made available to digital cable providers throughout Ontario and the rest of Canada. A petition drive is now in progress by listeners and supporters asking cable providers to add HMWN to their channel spectrum. Galgalatz or GLGLZ (), also rendered in English as "Army Radio on Wheels", is an Israeli radio station, operated by the Israel Defense Forces. It is broadcast on transmitters across the country and features pop and rock music in English and Hebrew along with traffic bulletins and an hourly news report. The station was started in 1993 as a partnership between the IDF, which also runs Army Radio (known as Galatz), and the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety.
