The following is a list of hospitals in Tajikistan that includes the name, location and references. Tajikistan government sources indicate that there were 325 hospitals in Tajikistan in 1986. By 2007, the number of hospitals had grown to 426, according to the World Health Organization. Dushanbe ( tg, Душанбе, ; ; russian: Душанбе) is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. , Dushanbe had a population of 863,400 and that population was largely Tajik. Panjakent
Panjakent ( tg, Панҷакент), or Penjikent (russian: Пенджикент) is a city in the Sughd province of Tajikistan on the river Zeravshan, with a population of 52,500 (2020 estimate). It was once an ancient town in Sogdiana. The ruins of the old town are on the outskirts of the modern city. The Sarazm Important Bird Area lies downstream of the city on the tugay-vegetated floodplain of the river. Norak (russian: Нурек, tg, Норак ''Norak'') is a city in the Khatlon Region of Tajikistan. It is situated on the river Vakhsh, 885 m above sea level, and is 70 km southeast of Dushanbe, the capital. Kayrakkum Reservoir ( Tajik: Обанбори Қайроққум; Russian: Кайраккумское водохранилище), also spelled variously as Qayroqqum, Qayraqqum, Kayrakum or Kairakum, is a large artificial lake in Ghafurov District of Sughd Province, in northwestern Tajikistan. In 2016, the reservoir was renamed Tajik Sea ( Tajik: Баҳри Тоҷик) by the country's parliament. The reservoir lies in the western part of the Fergana Valley on the Syr Darya river.
