North Augusta High School
North Augusta High School is a four-year public high school located in North Augusta, South Carolina. It is a part of the Aiken County Public School District. Approximately 1,500 students attend the school. The school offers over thirty student organizations. North Augusta is an AP Magnet School and is partnered with the National Math and Science Initiative to provide various programs, resources, and help to students enrolled in AP courses at the school. Montessori School of Anderson (MSA) is a private school located in Anderson, South Carolina, United States. This school is considered a Montessori school because the school is based on the educational approach developed by the Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. The Montessori School of Anderson is one of the few Montessori schools in the United States that educates K–12 students. History Montessori School of Anderson was founded in 1973 as a preschool, when they borrowed basement space from a local church. Piedmont is a census-designated place (CDP) along the Saluda River in Anderson County, South Carolina, Anderson and Greenville County, South Carolina, Greenville counties in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Powdersville, South Carolina
Powdersville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Anderson County, South Carolina. The population was 10,025 at the 2020 census,. History The name Powders comes from the production and trade of gunpowder in the area. One of the first stores in present-day Powdersville was called the Powdersville Area General Store. In 1859 a powder mill was established in present-day Powdersville by John Bowen. During the American Civil War, the area was used to store gunpowder though Columbia remained the primary production site of the state's powder. Due to the area's use of gunpowder, the name Powders became a fixture for the location. The Saluda Valley-Powdersville Water Company was created in 1971 to serve drinking water to around 1,200 customers.
