FC Lahti is a Finnish professional football club based in the city of Lahti. It currently plays in the Finnish second tier Ykkösliiga, after relegating from Veikkausliiga after the 2024 season. The homeground of Lahti is Toolpoint Arena. Lahti is famous of being the local team of the most successful Finnish player, Jari Litmanen, who played for the club in two stints in 2004 and 2009–10. Tampereen Pallo-Veikot (TPV) is a Finnish association football, football club, based in Tampere. The club plays in the Kakkonen, the fourth highest level of football in Finland. It is the second largest football club in the Pirkanmaa region in terms of active members, with 1,600 members in 2005. TPV has won one Finnish championship title in, 1994 Veikkausliiga, 1994. Tampere United is a Finnish football club from the city of Tampere. In the 2025 season, the club plays in Ykkönen, the third highest level of football in Finland. The club had a team in Veikkausliiga, the premier football league in Finland, until the end of the 2010 season. It was excluded from participating in Finnish football during the 2011 season amid suspicions of money laundering. The club was kept alive by its supporters, who entered a team called TamU-K in Kutonen, the lowest level of football in Finland, in 2012. Tampereen Ilves (; Finnish for "Lynx"; ), commonly known as Ilves, is a Finnish professional football club based in Tampere. They currently play in the Veikkausliiga, the highest level of professional football in Finland. History The history of Ilves football is long and somewhat convoluted. The club was founded in 1931 and played its first official football matches in the following year, playing in the local city and district leagues. The young club found it difficult to recruit exprienced players, however, and schoolboys who at the time made up the bulk of the membership often spent their summers in the country and were thus unavailable for matches. Tammelan Stadion is a football stadium in Tampere, Finland. It is the home ground for the Veikkausliiga club FC Ilves, Ilves, Ykkönen club Tampere United, and the Kakkonen side Tampereen Pallo-Veikot, TPV. The Ilves women's team, which plays in the Kansallinen Ykkönen, also uses the stadium. Construction As the 2010’s rolled in, the Tammelan Stadion (1931), previous stadium in Tammela did not meet the requirements set by Veikkausliiga, so a replacement was necessary. The city of Tampere held an architecture competition in 2014 in which a proposal called Hattutemppu (‘hat trick’) by JKMM Architects was chosen as the basis for the development project.
