Musteloidea is a superfamily (taxonomy), superfamily of carnivoran mammals united by shared characteristics of the skull and teeth. Musteloids are the sister group of pinnipeds, the group which includes seals. Thomas Sterling North (November 4, 1906 – December 21, 1974) was an American writer. He is best known for the children's novel '' Rascal'', a bestseller in 1963. Biography Early life and family North's maternal grandparents, James Hervey Nelson and Sarah Orelup Nelson, were Wisconsin pioneers. Born in Putnam County, New York, James moved first to near Rochester, New York, then to Menomonee Falls, in Waukesha County, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee), then pioneered a farm near present-day South Wayne, in southwestern Wisconsin. is a 1977 Japanese animated series by Nippon Animation. This anime is based on the 1963 autobiographical novel '' Rascal, A Memoir of a Better Era'' by Sterling North. As a result of the anime's popularity, many pet raccoons were imported to Japan, which caused them to become an invasive species in the country. Plot The anime revolves around a young boy who decided to provide shelter to a raccoon that was discovered by a hunter.
