Valerie Agnew
Valerie Agnew is best known as the drummer of 7 Year Bitch. Agnew moved from Ohio to Seattle, Washington, where she met the musicians that would become her future bandmates: Selene Vigil (vocals), Elizabeth Davis (bass), and Stefanie Sargent (lead guitar). They formed 7 Year Bitch and signed with C/Z Records. They released their debut album '' Sick 'Em'' in 1992. While still living in Ohio, Agnew dated Steve Moriarty, the drummer for the American punk band the Gits. Additionally, Agnew was a very close friend of Mia Zapata, the band's frontwoman. In 1993, Zapata was brutally raped and murdered while walking home late at night. In response, Agnew and 7 Year Bitch released the album ''¡Viva Zapata!'', dedicated to Zapata. The album also featured songs about former guitarist Stefanie Sargent, who died due to a drug overdose on June 27, 1992. Gossip (band)
Gossip (or The Gossip) was an American indie rock band formed in Searcy, Arkansas, originally active from 1999 until 2016. For most of their career, the band consisted of singer Beth Ditto, multi-instrumentalist Brace Paine, and drummer Hannah Blilie. After releasing several recordings, the band broke through with their 2006 studio album, ''Standing in the Way of Control''. A follow-up, '' Music for Men'', was released in 2009. The band played a mix of post-punk revival, indie rock, and dance-rock. Their last album, '' A Joyful Noise'', was released in May 2012. Nandi Lily Bushell (; born 28 April 2010) is a South African-born British musician, singer, songwriter, and social media personality. She became known for her drumming skill by posting cover versions of popular rock songs to her YouTube and Instagram accounts, and her online drum battle with Dave Grohl went viral internationally in 2020. By age ten, Bushell's videos had earned the attention of musicians including Grohl, Lenny Kravitz, Anderson .Paak, and Questlove, and led to numerous television appearances. Bushell was the youngest artist featured on the cover of ''Modern Drummer'' magazine and is the first-ever musician-in-residence at Cartoon Network. Lauren Brown is an American percussionist, known for her skill as a " tap dancing drummer." Biography Brown first learned to dance at a young age; she knows modern, tap, jazz and ballet dance styles. Brown is best known as an original member of the band He's My Brother She's My Sister, founded by her then-future husband Rob Kolar and his sister Rachel. To create her rhythm, Brown uses her feet as a replacement for the hi-hat, while simultaneously playing the snare drum, tom drum and bass drum with her arms. She is known for her invention of "tap dancing drumming" and considered its founder. Neon Trees is an American rock band from Provo, Utah. The band received nationwide exposure in late 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for the band The Killers. Elaine Gabrielle Bradley (born October 19, 1984) is an American musician and songwriter, and the drummer for the American rock band Neon Trees. She has also hosted BYUtv's unscripted series ''Grace Notes'' since 2020. Early life Elaine Gabrielle Doty, the youngest of seven children, was born October 19, 1984 to Robert and Carolyn Doty. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered full-time as a missionary in Frankfurt, Germany for eighteen months. Califone is an experimental rock band from Chicago. The band is named after Califone International, an audio equipment manufacturer. Their work has been critically acclaimed.
