An employment website is a website that deals specifically with employment or careers. Many employment websites are designed to allow employers to post job requirements for a position to be filled and are commonly known as job boards. Other employment sites offer employer reviews, career and job-search advice, and describe different job descriptions or employers. Glassdoor is an American website where current and former employees anonymously review companies, operated by the company of the same name. In 2018, the company was acquired by the Japanese company Recruit Holdings (owner of Indeed) for US$1.2 billion, and it continues to operate as an independent subsidiary. Founding The company was co-founded in 2007 by Tim Besse, Robert Hohman (who serves as the company's CEO), and Expedia founder Rich Barton, who served as the company's chairman. The idea came from a brainstorming session between Barton and Hohman when Barton relayed the story of accidentally leaving the results of an employee survey on the printer while working at Expedia. The two hypothesized that if the results had been revealed publicly, it could have been a service to those looking to make career decisions. JobTiger is a Bulgarian website and human resources company. It was founded in 2001 by the Bulgarian-American Investments Fund. Employers that have used the website to advterise jobs include Microsoft and Cisco Systems. JobTiger won awards in the "Investor in the Human Capital and Working Conditions" category at the 2005 and 2006 the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. JobServe Ltd is a private company headquartered in Tiptree, Essex, United Kingdom, which runs an employment website, job adverts being placed on the site on behalf of employers and employment agencies. It is part of the Aspire Media Group Ltd. The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, commonly referred to as IAESTE, is an international organization exchanging students for technical work experience abroad. Students gain relevant technical training lasting from 4 weeks to 52 weeks. IAESTE includes committees representing more than 80 countries, with the potential of accepting new countries into the organization every year.
