Conservatism is a Philosophy of culture, cultural, Social philosophy, social, and political philosophy and ideology that seeks to promote and preserve traditional institutions, Convention (norm), customs, and Value (ethics and social sciences), values. The central tenets of conservatism may vary in relation to the culture and civilization in which it appears. In Western culture, depending on the particular nation, conservatives seek to promote and preserve a range of institutions, such as the nuclear family, organized religion, the military, the nation-state, property rights, rule of law, aristocracy, and monarchy. Conservatives tend to favor institutions and practices that enhance social order and historical continuity. National Unity (Armenia)
National Unity () is a conservative political party in Armenia. It was founded and led by Artashes Geghamyan from 1997 until his death in 2024. History In the parliamentary election held on 25 May 2003, the party won 8.8% of the popular vote and 9 out of 131 seats in the National Assembly of Armenia. In the 2003 presidential election, Geghamyan received 17.54% of the vote in the first round, but was eliminated prior to the second round of voting. In the 2007 parliamentary election, the party did not win any seats, receiving a popular vote of 3.69%. The party has not participated in any parliamentary elections since 2007. The Conservative Party () is a political party in Armenia. It was founded in 1991. History The Conservative Party was founded in 1991. The current charter of the party was adopted during the 5th party congress on 1 November 2003. The Conservative Party had been a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), and some members participated in the 2012 Armenian parliamentary elections under the ANC's electoral list. The party opted to leave the ANC in 2013. Several party members participated in the 2013 Yerevan City Council election, under the Heritage party's Barev Yerevan alliance. The alliance came in third place, winning 8.48% of the vote. United Australia Party (2013)
The United Australia Party (UAP), formerly known as Clive Palmer's United Australia Party and the Palmer United Party (PUP), is an Australian political party formed by mining magnate Clive Palmer in April 2013. The party was deregistered by the Australian Electoral Commission in 2017, revived and re-registered in 2018, and voluntarily deregistered in 2022 (but remains registered in Victoria). The party fielded candidates in all 150 House of Representatives seats at the 2013 federal election. Trumpet of Patriots (TOP) is a right-wing populist political party in Australia. It is registered with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) as well as in New South Wales for local government elections and the Northern Territory for parliamentary elections. The party has its origins in the Country Alliance, which was founded in 2004 by four rural Victorians and renamed to the Australian Country Party (ACP) in 2015. In 2020, the ACP changed its name to the Australian Federation Party (AFP), also known as AusFeds. Katter's Australian Party (KAP) is an agrarian populist political party in Australia that advocates for agrarian socialist economic policies and conservative social policies.
