List Of Community College Softball Programs
This is a list of schools of United States community colleges that offer a softball program. The two largest associations are the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) also feature community colleges with softball programs as members. In the NJCAA, 357 schools compete across three divisions of play, divided up into 24 different regions. In California, 77 schools compete in ten different CCCAA conferences. Cisco College
Cisco College is a community college in Cisco, Texas and Abilene, Texas. The main campus is outside of Cisco, and the Abilene Educational Center is in Abilene. The college is accredited to award associate degrees by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Athletics Cisco College's athletic teams are known as the Wranglers. They compete in football, baseball, softball, volleyball, women's basketball, and women's soccer. They are members of the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) of the NJCAA. Western Oklahoma State College
Western Oklahoma State College is a public community college in Altus, Oklahoma. History Western Oklahoma State College was founded in 1926 under the name Altus Junior College. In 1974 state legislature changed its name to the present Western Oklahoma State College. In 2012, the ''Chronicle of Higher Education'' reported that NCAA athletes had allegedly been taking 10-day online courses from Western Oklahoma when they don't meet academic standards at their own institutions. Western Oklahoma former president Phil Birdine defended the program, saying the school was "not a course mill." The college ceased offering the courses in early 2013 after the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recommended the courses be immediately discontinued. Rose State College is a public community college in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) is a public community college in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, with additional campuses located in Enid, Oklahoma and Stillwater, Oklahoma. Student enrollment is approximately 2,700. NOC bought the former Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, in 1999 and it became the NOC Enid campus. Connors State College is a public community college in Warner and Muskogee, Oklahoma. History The college was founded as an agricultural high school in 1908 and was quickly converted to a school of agriculture. When Oklahoma became a state in 1907, the Oklahoma Constitution specified that the state should have an agricultural school in each of the State Supreme Court Judicial Districts.
