This is a list of burn centres in Canada. A burn centre or burn care facility is typically a hospital ward which specializes in the treatment of severe burn injuries. There are currently approximately 20 hospitals that care for burn injuries and receive referrals across Canada. Most provinces have at least one burn unit, and sometimes a hospital for adults and another for children. The largest verified burn centres are in Toronto. A burn center, burn unit, or burns unit is a hospital specializing in the treatment of burns. Burn centers are often used for the treatment and recovery of patients with more severe burns. Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a large teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Centre affiliated with Dalhousie University. The Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine (CHU Sainte-Justine) is the largest mother and child centre in Canada and one of the four most important pediatric centres in North America.
