Academy Award For Best Animated Feature
The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature is an Academy Awards, Academy Award presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) for the best animation, animated feature film. An animated feature is defined by the academy as a film with a running time of more than 40 minutes in which characters' performances are created using a frame-by-frame technique, a significant number of the major characters are animated, and animation figures in no less than 75 percent of the running time. The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature was first awarded in 2002 for films released in 2001. For much of the Academy Awards' history, the AMPAS was resistant to the idea of a regular award for animated features, considering there were simply too few produced to justify such consideration. Annecy International Animated Film Festival
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival (, officially abbreviated in English as the Annecy Festival, or simply Annecy) was created in 1960 and takes place at the beginning of June in the town of Annecy, France. Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998. It is one of the four international animated film festivals organised by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA). History In the 1960s, the existence of a very active film club in the Savoy region, combined with the encounters of its organizers with the team from the Journées du Cinéma (Cinema Days), facilitated the establishment of the Journées Internationales du Cinéma d'Animation (JICA) in Annecy. Animahenasyon is an annual animation festival and competition held in the Philippines. Organized by the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI), the festival features the animated works of veteran and novice Filipino animators. Apart from the competition, the festival holds classes, seminars, workshops, and exhibits related to the animation profession. International Animated Film Association
The International Animated Film Association (French: ''Association Internationale du Film d'Animation'', ASIFA) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1960 in Annecy, France by well-known animation artists including Canadian animator Norman McLaren. There are now more than 30 chapters of the Association located in many countries of the world. ASIFA's board of directors includes animation professionals from all over the world. They meet at ASIFA-sponsored animation film festivals on a regular basis. Anima Mundi is a competitive Brazilian video and film festival devoted exclusively to animation, held every July in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil. Africa Movie Academy Awards
The Africa Movie Academy Awards is an annual entertainment award ceremony presented to recognize excellence among African and non-African professionals, who have contributed to the African film industry. The award was founded by Peace Anyiam-Osigwe and is run by the Africa Film Academy.
