Eric Trolle
Eric Trolle (or Erik Arvidsson) (c. 1460–1530) was elected regent of Sweden in 1512, during the era of Kalmar Union. He was Justiciar of Närke and a Lord High Councillor of Sweden from 1487. Biography Eric Arvidsson was born around 1460 into an important family of high nobility and was apparently aiming at a clerical career. Eric's parents were lord Arvid Birgersson Trolle (died 1505) and his first wife Kerstin Jonsdotter (Gädda). His father had connected him to the powerful family Thott by marrying Beata Ivarsdotter Tott (died 1487) as his second wife in 1466. His last stepmother was his father's third wife Brita Turesdotter Bielke. Eric studied at the University of Rostock and University of Cologne, had positions as Canon in Uppsala and Linköping but was never ordained. Sven Backlund
Sven Backlund (1917–1997) was a Swedish diplomat. He was the ambassador of Sweden to Yugoslavia, European Communities and West Germany. He also served as the permanent representative of Sweden at the Council of Europe. Early life and education Backlund was born in 1917. His father who was also named as Sven was a social democratic figure and worked for the Gothenburg-based news magazine ''Ny Tid'' as a foreign editor in the 1940s. Backlund obtained his university degree in 1936. He founded the Social Democratic student club at Stockholm University. He received a master's degree in politics in 1942. Henrik Liljegren () is a linguist and Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Stockholm University. He does fieldwork on languages of northern Pakistan, particularly the Hindukush–Karakoram region, and studies typology of and genetic relations between languages of the region. His most recent project is investigating ''Language contact and relatedness in the Hindukush region'', funded by the Vetenskapsrådet (Swedish Research Council).
