Michael Brodsky (born August 19, 1972) is an Israeli diplomat. He was nominated as the next Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine on November 26, 2020. From 2015 to 2018, Brodsky served as the Israeli ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was succeeded by Liat Wexelman in September, 2018. Early life Michael Brodsky was born on August 19, 1972, in Leningrad. In 1990, he made Aliyah to Israel together with his family. Ran Ichay ( he, רן ישי; born 1970) is an Israeli humanitarian, and a former diplomat and civil servant. Biography Ichay was born to families that immigrated to Israel after the independence. His father's family fled from Spain to North Africa in the first decades of the 15th century due to the Massacre of 1391, persecutions against jews. The family lived mainly in Sousse, in Tunisia, and owned the House of Ichay, where many of the family's children were born, and later fled to Israel due to the Suez Crisis, Kadesh war, in 1956.
