Alfred Sao-ke Sze
Alfred Sao-ke Sze (; 1877–1958) was a prominent Chinese politician and diplomat during the most turbulent period in modern Chinese history. Early life Sze was born on April 10, 1877 in Jiangsu. In 1892, Sze moved to Washington, D.C., with his father, who was an attaché of the Chinese legation to the U.S. Sze graduated from Central High School in 1897. He became the first Chinese student to graduate from Cornell University in 1901. He returned to China in October 1902 to work for the Peking Government. Career Sze served successively in the Ministry of Posts and Communications, the Jilin provincial government and the Foreign Ministry. In 1905, Sze was part of the Chinese delegation which visited a number of countries to study constitutionalism. Fu Ying
Fu Ying (born January 1953) is a Chinese politician and diplomat, best known for her terms as the ambassador to the Philippines, Australia, and the United Kingdom, as well as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. Early life Fu was born in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, in 1953. Her father was a student of Ai Siqi and she is of Mongol descent. An ethnic Mongol, Fu Ying is the first woman, and the only ethnic minority woman, to serve as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs since 1979, and one of only two to serve in Chinese history. Fu graduated from the Beijing Foreign Studies University. Diplomatic career In 1976, she became the official interpreter of the diplomatic service. Jiang Enzhu
Jiang Enzhu (; born 14 December 1938) is a Chinese retired diplomat and politician. Jiang was a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee, he served as Chinese ambassador to the United Kingdom, as president of the Xinhua News Agency, as director of the Hong Kong Liaison Office. Biography Jiang was born in Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, China in December 1938, but grew up in Shanghai. He graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1964 with a degree in English. Ji Chaozhu
Ji Chaozhu (July 30, 1929 – April 29, 2020) was a Chinese English language diplomatic interpreter and diplomat who held diverse positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Most notably, he was English interpreter for Chairman Mao Zedong, Premier Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping, Ambassador to the Court of St. James's (United Kingdom), and then served as an Under-secretary General of the United Nations, a post from which he retired in 1996. Cheng Tien-hsi (; 10 July 1884 – 31 January 1970) was a Chinese author, jurist, and the last ambassador of the Republic of China to the United Kingdom. His courtesy name was "Futting" (茀定), so he was commonly known as F. T. Cheng. Early life and education Cheng was born in Mawei, Fuzhou, Fujian, Qing dynasty, to parents from Zhongshan, Guangdong. Guo Taiqi
Guo Taiqi (, also Quo Tai-chi; 1888–1952) was a diplomat during the Republic of China and an active member of the Kuomintang from the early years of the Republic of China until shortly after the Chinese Communist Revolution on mainland China. Guo was born in Hubei province in 1888 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1911, Phi Beta Kappa. He was one of the technical delegates of China to the Paris Peace Conference, 1918–1919.
