Wen Yuan-ning
Wen Yuan-ning ( 1900-1984), also known as Oon Guan-neng, was a Chinese professor, writer, and diplomat. Life and career Wen Yuan-ning was born in Bangka off Sumatra, formerly of the Dutch East Indies and now of Indonesia, to an immigrant Chinese Hakka family. He grew up in Bangka and Singapore and went on to study in England where he registered under the Hakka name of Oon Guan-neng at King's College, Cambridge. After receiving his B.A. Hons. and LLB degrees, Wen moved to China and took the Mandarin transliteration of his name Wen Yuan-ning. Wen became a professor of English language and literature in 1925, teaching at various institutions including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Peking Women’s College of Education in 1920s Peking and Kwang Hua University in 1930s Shanghai. Han Lih-wu
Han Lih-wu (; 26 January 1903 – 26 February 1991) was a Chinese educator, politician and diplomat. Life and career Born in Anhui, Han earned degrees from Nanjing University, the University of London, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After completing his education in the United States, Han taught at Nanjing University until 1931, when he was named leader of the British–Chinese Educational Association, where he served until 1946. In 1944, Han was appointed deputy minister of education. He succeeded Chen Hsueh-ping in office in 1949. Han aided the Kuomintang retreat to Taiwan later that year by moving artworks of the National Palace Museum from Peking to Taipei. Zhuang Yan
Zhuang Yan (February 1918 – March 5, 2017) was a Chinese diplomat. He served as the first Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh from 1976 to 1979, Chinese Ambassador to Iran, Ambassador to Iran from 1980 to 1982 in the aftermath of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, and Ambassador of Greece from 1983 to 1985. Chinese diplomat Jiao Ruoyu was Ambassador to Iran at the time of the Iranian Revolution of 1979 which overthrew Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and established the Islamic Republic of Iran. Luo Linquan () (born April 1956) is the current Consul General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco USA. He entered this position in December 2014.
