List Of Warhammer Fantasy Novels
After the creation of the ''Warhammer Fantasy'' universe by Games Workshop, novels were published by GW Books and Boxtree Limited, but subsequently novels have been published by the Black Library, including translations to French and German. More than 140 novels have been set in the shared universe of ''Warhammer Fantasy'' since 1989. According to Marc Gascoigne the idea of Chaos in ''Warhammer'' was inspired by ''The Eternal Champion'' and its sequels, written by Michael Moorcock, who made use of ideas from '' Three Hearts and Three Lions'' by Poul Anderson. The ''Warhammer'' elves were inspired by '' The Broken Sword'' by Poul Anderson as well the Middle-earth canon of J. R. R. Tolkien. Nathan Long (author)
Nathan Long is an American fantasy author. He is well known for his Gotrek and Felix novels, along with ''The Blackhearts Trilogy'' and ''Jane Carver of Waar''. Early history Long has been writing since the age of twelve. Once he broke into the industry, he wrote screenplays for fifteen years. His work resulted in three films and many animated and live-action TV episodes. He lives in Los Angeles, where he writes as well as playing regularly with his band, MI-6. John Brunner (novelist)
John Kilian Houston Brunner (24 September 1934 – 25 August 1995) was a British author of science fiction novels and stories. His 1968 novel ''Stand on Zanzibar'', about an overpopulated world, won the 1969 Hugo Award for best science fiction novel and the BSFA Award the same year. '' The Jagged Orbit'' won the BSFA Award in 1970. Life Brunner was born in 1934 in Preston Crowmarsh, near Wallingford in Oxfordshire, and went to school at St Andrew's Prep School, Pangbourne. Jonathan Green is a freelance writer. James Wallis is a British designer and publisher of tabletop and role-playing games. Career James Wallis began roleplaying in 1981 through ''Dungeons & Dragons'' and '' Traveller'', which were both licensed in the UK by Games Workshop at the time. Daniel P. Abnett ( ; born 12 October 1965) is an English comic book writer and novelist. He has been a frequent collaborator with fellow writer Andy Lanning, and has worked on books for both Marvel Comics, and their UK imprint, Marvel UK, since the 1990s, and also ''2000 AD (comics), 2000 AD''. Gavin Thorpe is a game designer who has worked primarily on board games. He has also authored a number of novels and short stories for the Black Library. Career Gav Thorpe was a games designer for Games Workshop beginning in 1994. The David Gemmell Awards for Fantasy, established in memory of David Gemmell, were awarded from 2009 to 2018. In 2009, only the Legend Award for best fantasy novel was awarded. Beginning in 2010 the Morningstar Award for best fantasy newcomer and the Ravenheart Award for best fantasy cover art were added. The award was closed in 2019.
