The following is a list of transfers for the teams of the USL Pro league, the third level of the United States soccer pyramid, for the 2013 season. The transactions begin at the conclusion of the 2012 USL Pro season and end after the championship match of the 2013 season. The first signing of the season was former Aberdeen FC striker Darren Mackie who joined expansion side Phoenix FC. New players who are listed on a club's official roster but no official announcement was made appear at the end of the list. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (Division I) in the hierarchy. The USL is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Alexander Horwath (born March 27, 1987) is a retired American soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. Career College and Amateur Horwath began his youth career with D.C. United, remaining with the youth squad from 2001 to 2003. In 2005, he attended college at the University of Connecticut but did not play due to an injury. In 2007, he transferred to the University of Wisconsin. While with Wisconsin, Horwath established himself as his team's starting goalkeeper, appearing in 52 matches in his three years. Peter Byers (born 20 October 1984) is an Antiguan footballer who plays professionally for SAP FC and the Antigua and Barbuda national team as a striker. Club career Born in Bolans Village, Byers spent his early career in his native Antigua and Barbuda with SAP, and in Trinidad and Tobago with San Juan Jabloteh. Orlando City Soccer Club was an American professional soccer team based in Orlando, Florida, United States, that was the precursor to Orlando City SC. The team played in USL Pro, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid from 2010 to 2014, until discontinuing in favor of Orlando's Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise in 2015 which is owned by the same principals. The team was founded in 2008 as the Austin Aztex FC before relocating to Orlando, Florida. It was one of the more successful lower-division teams in the United States in its stint in the USL.
