This is a list of recurring segments featured on ''The Daily Show''. This list is incomplete for ''The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn'' and ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart''. During ''The Daily Show''s first ten years, a significant part of its airtime was devoted to different branded recurring segments, usually hosted by the show's correspondents. After the 2005 launch of ''The Colbert Report'', which was largely made up of different recurring segments, the time devoted to such segments on ''The Daily Show'' has declined. Normal commentary segments about ongoing news stories can also have recurring titles to help sort them and talk about continuation. ''The Daily Show'' is an American late-night talk show, late-night talk and news satire television program. It airs each Monday through Thursday on Comedy Central in the United States, with extended episodes released shortly after on Paramount+. ''The Daily Show'' draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories, political figures, and media organizations. It often uses self-referential humor. The half-hour-long show premiered on July 22, 1996, and was first hosted by Craig Kilborn until December 17, 1998. Jon Stewart then took over as the host from January 11, 1999, until August 6, 2015, making the show more strongly focused on political satire and news satire, in contrast with the pop culture focus during Kilborn's tenure. Stewart was succeeded by Trevor Noah, whose tenure began on September 28, 2015, and ended in December 2022. Parliamentary elections were held in Iraq on 15 December 2005, following the approval of a new constitution in a referendum on 15 October. Electoral system The elections took place under a list system, whereby voters chose from a list of parties and coalitions. 230 seats were apportioned among Iraq's 18 governorates based on the number of registered voters in each as of the January 2005 elections, including 59 seats for Baghdad Governorate. The seats within each governorate were allocated to lists through a system of Proportional Representation.
