''Carnival'' () is a 1981 Soviet musical comedy-drama film directed by Tatyana Lioznova. Plot In a small Uralic city lives a young woman, Nina Solomatina, with her mother. Her father left her as a child and moved to Moscow. Dreaming study acting, Nina comes to Moscow, but fails the entrance examinations to the theatrical school. Deciding to try to enter next year, Nina temporarily moves in with her father and his family. Striving to provide for herself, she goes to work, but because of various incidents, she is not able to stay anywhere for a long time. Mikhail Olegovich Yefremov (; born 10 November 1963) is a Russian film and stage actor, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation (1995). Life and career Mikhail is the son of People's Artist of the USSR Oleg Yefremov and Sovremennik Theatre actor Professor Alla Pokrovskaya ( Boris Pokrovsky's daughter). He made his stage and screen debut in mid 1970s as schoolboy. In 1982-1984 Yefremov served in Soviet Army. In 1987 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School. Yefremov was married four times and he has six children. His first wife was the editor Asya Vorobieva, their son Nikita is a Sovremennik Theatre actor. His second wife was the actress Yevgenia Dobrovolskaya, their son Nikolay is also an actor. His third wife was actress Kseniya Kachalina, they have a daughter Anna-Maria. Vladimir Alexandrovich Grammatikov (; born 1 June 1942) is a Russian and Soviet theater and film actor, director, screenwriter and producer. He was awarded as Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1995. Biography Vladimir Grammatikov was born on 1 June 1942 in Sverdlovsk. He graduated from the construction faculty of radio Bauman College in Moscow, and then decided to work in cinematography. Later, he got an education at the acting department Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, becoming an actor pantomime. ''Could One Imagine?'' (), also released as ''Love and Lies'', is a 1981 Soviet teen drama film directed by Ilya Frez based on the novella by Galina Shcherbakova. Plot High school student Katya Shevchenko (Tatyana Aksyuta) moves to a new district and meets classmate Roman Lavochkin (Nikita Mikhaylovsky) at school. Gradually their friendship grows into love, which appears surprisingly strong to the adults around them.
