World Victory Road
World Victory Road (WVR) was a Japanese mixed martial arts (MMA) organization which promoted the Sengoku Raiden Championship (SRC) in Japan. The organization was formed in 2007 following the purchase of PRIDE FC by Zuffa. It operated in conjunction with the Japan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (JMM). The Sengoku championship was broadcast on Fuji Television, Fuji TV and pay-per-view in Japan, and on HDNet in United States. Beginning with the December 31 show, Sengoku was known as Sengoku Raiden Championship. "Raiden" means "thunder and lightning" and refers to legendary 18th century ''rikishi'', Raiden Tameemon. WVR exec Kokuho said they hoped the initials "SRC" will be more palatable to international audiences. ''Dynamite!! 2009'' was a mixed martial arts and kickboxing event promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group, held in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on December 31, 2009. The event included bouts that encompass the DREAM, Sengoku Raiden Championship, K-1, and K-1 World MAX banners. The event aired on HDNet in North America. The event had the conclusion of the U18 K-1 KOSHIEN 62 kg Class Tournament. Mixed martial arts weight classes are weight classes that pertain to the sport of mixed martial arts. Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts Prior to state sanctioning, weight classes were not mandatory since the competitions were held without the approval of the athletic commissions. For instance, the Ultimate Fighting Championship introduced two weight classes at ''UFC 12'': heavyweight, which grouped competitors above 200 lb (91 kg), and lightweight, which grouped competitors under 200 lb. Weight classes underwent many changes in the ensuing years, but the ability of promotions to autonomously decide their own weight classes eventually disappeared after athletic commissions began supervising mixed martial arts. Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a form of competitive combat sport, akin to boxing, muay thai, or kick boxing. MMA titles, or championship belts, are given to those fighters deemed by a promotional organization to have met a certain standard of athletic accomplishment in a specific Mixed martial arts weight classes, weight class (most often by means of a championship, championship fight). Championship belts are fought for at each weight class under a promotion, with only one belt awarded per class. Each belt is usually contested every time the belt holder fights, and passed to the victor of that fight (see the List of UFC champions for a chronology of UFC title belts). Yasubey Enomoto (born 15 December 1983) is a Swiss Martial artist (MMA) in welterweight and middleweight categories. Finalist of prestige Sengoku Welterweight Grand Prix Tournament 2010, former champion of Russian organization M-1 Global and former KSW and ACA fighter. Biography Yasubey Enomoto was born in Zürich in 1983 to a Peruvian father of Japanese origins and a Swiss mother. He began training in martial arts at the age of six, choosing Shotokan karate. He has been practicing kung fu since the age of 16. During his studies, he became interested in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Thai boxing. In 2006, he became the Swiss kickboxing champion, and in 2008, he became the world champion in the IKBO Thai boxing federation. Kazuhiro Nakamura
Kazuhiro Nakamura ( , born July 16, 1979) is a Japanese retired mixed martial artist who competed as a middleweight in DREAM, and is a former DEEP middleweight champion. He fought out of the Yoshida Dojo and also competed in the Pride Fighting Championships, the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the Sengoku Raiden Championship. His primary style was judo, in which he holds a third '' dan'' black belt under Hidehiko Yoshida. Career Starting judo at 10 years old, Nakamura went to train under Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki and enter the Fukuyama University team. He became a professional judoka under the sponsorship of Keiyo Gas and competed at national and international level, placing third at the Japanese championships at 100+. is a Japanese mixed martial artist and judoka. Yokota fought for the Japanese MMA promotions DEEP and WVR Sengoku. Career and background Yokota has a background in Judo and fights for Team Grabaka with notable training partners such as Akihiro Gono and Kazuo Misaki. Yokota debuted MMA in GCM demolition in September 2004 where he faced off against Keita Nakamura, the 2 round fight resulted in a draw. After his first fight Yokota debuted the Japanese promotion DEEP and went undefeated in his next eight fights till he suffered his first loss by knockout at the hands of Tae Hyun Bang. He is the former Shooto Lightweight Champion, Sengoku Featherweight Champion, and TKO Featherweight Champion.
