Arbi Barayev
Arbi Alautdinovich Barayev (; 27 May 1974 – 22 June 2001) was a Chechen warlord who in 1996 became the founder and first leader of the Special Purpose Islamic Regiment (SPIR) in Chechnya. Nicknamed "The Terminator", Barayev and the SPIR were regarded as one of the main violent criminal organizations operating in Chechnya during the lawless interwar period that followed the 1994–1996 First Chechen War, driving out foreign journalists and humanitarian workers, while undermining the presidency of Aslan Maskhadov during Chechnya's ''de facto'' independence until 1999. After the restoration of Russian control, Barayev openly lived in his home village until he was killed on 22 June 2001. A grenade is a small explosive weapon typically thrown by hand (also called hand grenade), but can also refer to a Shell (projectile), shell (explosive projectile) shot from the muzzle of a rifle (as a rifle grenade) or a grenade launcher. Argun (, ), also known as Ustrada (, ''Ustrada-Ġala'' or Орга-ГӀала, ''Orga-Ġala'') is a town in the Chechen Republic, Russia, located on the Argun River. Population: 22,000 (1968). Abdul-Halim Abusalamovich Sadulayev ( ; 2 June 1966 – 17 June 2006) was the fourth President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. Sadulayev served little more than a full year as President before being killed in a gun battle with FSB and pro-Russian Chechen forces. Sadulayev was the first Chechen leader effectively attempting to unify the Islamic rebel forces outside Chechnya, as he had won pledges of loyalty not only from Chechen separatists, but also from Islamist groups seeking the overthrow of the Kremlin's authority across the North Caucasus; this formation became known as the Caucasian Front. He was also credited with persuading radical warlord Shamil Basayev not to carry out any major terrorist attacks since Beslan. Tolstoy-Yurt
Tolstoy-Yurt (; ) is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, rural locality (a ''village#Russia, selo'') and the administrative center of Groznensky District of the Chechnya, Chechen Republic, Russia. Population: The town is named after the Russian author Leo Tolstoy. In 2005, Aslan Maskhadov, the third President of Ichkeria, president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, was reportedly killed in fighting in the locality of Tolstoy-Yurt. Aslan (Khalid) Aliyevich Maskhadov (; ; 21 September 1951 – 8 March 2005) was a Soviet and Chechen politician and military commander who was the third president of the unrecognized Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. He was credited by many with the Chechen victory in the First Chechen War, which allowed for the establishment of the ''de facto'' independent Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. Maskhadov was elected President of Ichkeria, President of Chechnya in January 1997. Following the start of the Second Chechen War in August 1999, he returned to leading the guerrilla warfare, guerrilla Resistance movement, resistance against the Russian army.
