Members Of Parliament
A member of parliament (MP) is the representative in parliament of the people who live in their electoral district. In many countries with bicameral parliaments, this term refers only to members of the lower house since upper house members often have a different title. The terms congressman/congresswoman or deputy are equivalent terms used in other jurisdictions. The term parliamentarian is also sometimes used for members of parliament, but this may also be used to refer to unelected government officials with specific roles in a parliament and other expert advisers on parliamentary procedure such as the Senate Parliamentarian in the United States. Stephen Bråthen
Stephen Bråthen (born 2 September 1964) is a Norwegian politician formerly representing the Progress Party. He was born in Lørenskog. He took a basic education in economics before enrolling in the Norwegian Armed Forces. He served in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon from 1985 to 1986. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in the bank Den norske Creditbank, and from 1989 to 1993 he worked as an advisor for the Progress Party parliamentary group. He was a member of Ski municipal council from 1983 to 1987, then served as a deputy member for one period before entering the executive committee in 1991. He chaired the local chapter of the Progress Party from 1986 to 1989, and was a member of the national board from 1993 to 1994. Finnmark
Finnmark (; se, Finnmárku ; fkv, Finmarku; fi, Ruija ; russian: Финнмарк) was a county in the northern part of Norway, and it is scheduled to become a county again in 2024. On 1 January 2020, Finnmark was merged with the neighbouring county of Troms to form the new Troms og Finnmark county. On 1 January 2024, the county will be demerged back to the counties Finnmark and Troms, after a decision made by parliament on 15 June 2022. By land, it bordered Troms county to the west, Finland ( Lapland region) to the south, and Russia (Murmansk Oblast) to the east, and by water, the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean) to the northwest, and the Barents Sea (Arctic Ocean) to the north and northeast. Ursula Evje
Ursula Evje (born 13 December 1944 in Oslo) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party. She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus in 1997, and was re-elected on two occasions. However, in December 2004, during her third term, she left the party, continuing as an independent representative. She did not seek re-election for a new party in 2005. Erling Erland
Erling Erland (12 July 1917 – 13 January 1988) was a Norwegian politician and Member of Parliament for Anders Lange's Party. Erland was born in Time. Nord-Trøndelag
Nord-Trøndelag (; "North Trøndelag") was a county constituting the northern part of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. The county was established in 1804 when the old Trondhjems amt was divided into two: Nordre Trondhjems amt and Søndre Trondhjems amt. In 2016, the two county councils voted to merge (back) into a single county on 1 January 2018. As of 1 January 2014, the county had 135,142 inhabitants, making it the country's fourth-least populated county. Robert Eriksson
Robert Eriksson (born 23 April 1974) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party. He served as Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion in Solberg's Cabinet from 2013 to 2015. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 2005. He had previously served in the position of deputy representative during the terms 1997–2001 and 2001–2005. Eriksson held various positions in the Verdal municipality council from 1991 to 2005. From 1995 to 2005 he was also a member of The Nord-Trøndelag county council. Jan Arild Ellingsen
Jan Arild Ellingsen (born 9 October 1958 in Oslo) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nordland in 2001, and has been re-elected on one occasion. Ellingsen is currently the Progress Party's spokesperson on matters relating to justice and crime. In 2005 Ellingsen accepted an Iraqi death sentence over a Norwegian Iraqi, drawing a sharp rebuke from fellow Progress Party MP André Kvakkestad.
