''Produce 48'' is a 2018 South Korean competition television show on Mnet in which a girl group is formed from a large pool of South Korean and Japanese idols, most of whom are represented by major idol talent agencies such as AKB48 Group. The show starts with 96 contestants, with occasional rounds of competition and voting, some of which result in elimination from the contest. Of the 96 contestants, 57 of them are from South Korean management companies, and 39 of them are from Japanese idol groups, composed of current members of AKB48 and their sister groups. The final 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, will promote as a group for two and a half years. ''Produce 48'' () is the third season of the South Korean reality competition series ''Produce 101''. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 contestants from South Korea and Japan, as well as voting for the group's concept, name and debut single. The show was a collaboration between the Mnet series ''Produce 101'' and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, would promote as a group for two years and six months. The show announced the final 12 members who made it into, as well as the official name of the group Iz*One during the finale on August 31, 2018. Cherry Bullet () was a South Korean girl group formed and managed by FNC Entertainment. They debuted on January 21, 2019, with their first single album titled '' Let's Play Cherry Bullet.'' The group's final lineup was composed of seven members: Haeyoon, Yuju, Bora, Jiwon, Remi, Chaerin, and May.
