This is a list of Philippine provinces sorted by population as of the 2020 census, which was conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Population of provinces in this list includes population of highly urbanized cities, which are administratively independent of the province. In the Philippines, provinces ( or ) are one of its primary political and administrative divisions of the Philippines, administrative divisions. There are 82 provinces at present, which are further subdivided into Cities of the Philippines, component cities and Municipalities of the Philippines, municipalities. Batangas, officially the Province of Batangas ( ), is a first class province of the Philippines located in the southwestern part of Luzon in the Calabarzon region. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 2,908,494 people, making it the 8th most populous province in the country. Dagupan
Dagupan , officially the City of Dagupan (, , ), is a 2nd class independent component city in the Ilocos Region, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it had a population of 174,302 people. Located on Lingayen Gulf on the northwest-central part of Luzon, Dagupan is the primary commercial and financial center of Pangasinan.
