List Of Pac-12 Conference Football Champions
This is a list of annual Pac-12 Conference football champions. Co-champions are listed with the conference's Rose Bowl representative first. Pacific Coast Conference results are included. Since 2011, the Pac-12 Football Championship Game has determined the champion. PCC champions were awarded the Schwabacher Trophy. In 2024, the conference was reduced to two teams following conference realignment. While the remaining schools, Oregon State and Washington State, formed a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West Conference, those games did not count towards the Pac-12 standings. Rose Bowl Game
The Rose Bowl Game is an annual American college football bowl game, traditionally played on January 1 (New Year's Day) at the Rose Bowl (stadium), Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. When New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, the game is played on Monday, January 2. Nicknamed "The Granddaddy of Them All" by broadcaster Keith Jackson, it was the first postseason football game ever established. The Rose Bowl Game was first played in 1902 as the Tournament East–West football game, and has been played annually since 1916. Since 1945, it has been the highest attended college football bowl game. The game is a part of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association's "America's New Year Celebration", which also includes the historic Rose Parade. 1917 Washington State Football Team
The 1917 Washington State football team represented Washington State College—now known as Washington State University as a member of the Northwest Conference and the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) during the 1917 college football season. Led by William Henry Dietz in his third and final season as head coach, Washington State compiled an overall record of 6–0–1, with marks of 5–0 in Northwest Conference play, and 3–0 against PCC opponents, winning both conference titles. 1921 California Golden Bears Football Team
The 1921 California Golden Bears football team, also known as the Wonder Team, was an American football team that represented the University of California, Berkeley in the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) during the 1921 college football season. In their sixth year under head coach Andy Smith, the team compiled a 9–0–1 record (4–0 against PCC opponents), won the PCC championship, and outscored its opponents by a combined total of 312 to 33. In the postseason, the Golden Bears played a scoreless tie against Washington & Jefferson in the rain-soaked 1922 Rose Bowl. The Ohio State Buckeyes football team competes as part of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, representing Ohio State University in the Big Ten Conference. The 1921 Rose Bowl, known at the time as the Tournament East-West Football Game, was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 1921, at Tournament Park in Pasadena, California. It was the seventh Rose Bowl Game. The 1919 Oregon Webfoots football team represented the University of Oregon as a member of the Northwest Conference and the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) during the 1919 college football season. Led by second-year head coach Charles A. Huntington, the Webfoots compiled an overall record of 5–2 and lost to undefeated Harvard in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. Oregon had a record of 2–1 in both conferences, placing second in the Northwest Conference and sharing the PCC title with Washington. Oregon played home games at Kincaid Field and Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, and Multnomah Field in Portland, Oregon.
