DeBarge
DeBarge was an American musical recording group composed of several members of the DeBarge family. In addition to various solo projects completed by members of the family, DeBarge was active between 1979 and 1989. The group originally consisted of El, Mark, Randy, and Bunny. James joined the group a year later for their 1982 second album. Bobby joined in 1987, following the departures of Bunny and El. DeBarge released six studio albums, four of them with Motown subsidiary Gordy Records. These albums included '' The DeBarges'' (1981), '' All This Love'' (1982), '' In a Special Way'' (1983), and '' Rhythm of the Night'' (1985). The Contours
The Contours are an American rhythm and blues vocal group. They recorded for Motown Records. They are known for their 1962 hit single "Do You Love Me", which sold over 1 million copies and became a major hit again in 1988. History Establishment and "Do You Love Me" Joe Billingslea (born November 14, 1937) and Billy Gordon founded a singing group called the Blenders in their native Detroit, Michigan in 1959. Commodores, often billed as The Commodores, are an American funk and Soul music, soul group. Choker Campbell
Walter Luzar "Choker" Campbell (March 21, 1916 – July 20, 1993) was an American saxophonist and bandleader. Biography Born as an only child in Shelby, Mississippi, United States, his family moved to Saginaw, Michigan, when he was only five years old. Campbell studied saxophone under several musicians and left school at the age of nineteen. In the early 1960s, he got a job at Hitsville USA (which later became Motown) playing with the resident band, and then leading one of the road bands that supported the artists on tour. His band backed many well-known Motown artists, such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, the Four Tops, Stevie Wonder and others.
