The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football team based in the Miami metropolitan area. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member team of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) East division. Lou Creekmur
Louis Creekmur (January 22, 1927 – July 5, 2009) was an American football offensive lineman. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. Creekmur played professional football in the National Football League (NFL), principally as an offensive tackle and offensive guard, for the Detroit Lions for ten years from 1950 to 1959. He appeared in every pre-season, regular-season, and post-season game played by the Lions from 1950 to 1958—a streak of 165 consecutive games. He played in eight consecutive Pro Bowl games from 1950 to 1957 and was selected by the Associated Press as a first-team All-Pro player seven consecutive years from 1951 to 1957. Rick Weaver
Richard Eugene Weaver (November 26, 1926 – August 5, 2000) was an American sports announcer who was the play-by-play announcer for the Miami Dolphins from 1971 to 1993. Early life Weaver was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and grew up in Toledo, Ohio. His father, Everett Weaver, was an organizer for John L. Lewis and the United Mine Workers of America. Weaver attended DeVilbiss High School, where he played football and baseball. He also worked at WTOL, which had a program for high school students. After high school, Weaver served in the United States Marine Corps. Career After leaving the military, pursued a baseball career, but an injury forced him to change his plans. He found a job at a radio station in Columbus, Mississippi. He worked four days a week as a morning deejay and called play-by-play for Ole Miss Rebels football. Henry Barrow (or Barrowe) ( – 6 April 1593) was an English Separatist Puritan, or Brownist, executed for his views. Robert L. "Bob" Gallagher (1928 – July 3, 1977) was an American sportscaster and radio host who announced games for the Boston Patriots and Miami Dolphins. Early life Gallagher graduated from North Quincy High School in 1946 and Boston College 1951. After college, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served at General Douglas MacArthur's headquarters in Japan. He later earned a degree from Curry College and spent six years as a semi-pro basketball player. Broadcasting career In 1954, Gallagher landed as first broadcasting job at WNEB in Worcester, Massachusetts. He left the station in 1958 to call Boston College Eagles football games for WEEI. Donald John Bosseler (born January 24, 1936) is a former American football fullback who played in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins from 1957 to 1964. He played college football at the University of Miami and was drafted in the first round (ninth overall) of the 1957 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1990. Early life Bosseler attended and played high school football at Batavia High School in Batavia, New York. College career Bosseler was a four-year starter at fullback for the University of Miami.
