Harry Woolf
Harry Kenneth Woolf, Baron Woolf (born 2 May 1933) is a British life peer and retired barrister and judge. He was Master of the Rolls from 1996 until 2000 and Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales from 2000 until 2005. The Constitutional Reform Act 2005 made him the first Lord Chief Justice to be President of the Courts of England and Wales. ''Ashes to Ashes'' is a British fantasy crime drama and police procedural drama television series, serving as the sequel to ''Life on Mars''. The series began airing on BBC One in February 2008. DCI/DI Sam Tyler is a fictional character in BBC One's science fiction/police procedural drama, ''Life on Mars''. In the original British version of ''Life on Mars'', Tyler is played by John Simm and in the American version he is played by Jason O'Mara. Inspector, also police inspector or inspector of police, is a police rank. The rank or position varies in seniority depending on the organization that uses it. The National Crime Squad (NCS) was a British police organisation which dealt with national and transnational Organised crime, organised and major crimes. Formed in April 1998 after the amalgamation of six former Regional Crime Squads, it merged with parts of HM Customs & Excise and the National Criminal Intelligence Service on 1 April 2006 to become the Serious Organised Crime Agency. Lee Ross (born 1971) is an English actor known for his roles as Kenny Phillips in the CITV dramedy ''Press Gang'' and as Owen Turner in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. He is also known for his debut role as Dodger in the drama series '' Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest'', '' Secrets & Lies'', ''The Catherine Tate Show'' and BBC sitcom White Gold. The King's Police Medal (KPM) is awarded to police in the United Kingdom for gallantry or distinguished service. DC/DS/DI Raymond Milton "Ray" Carling is a fictional character in BBC One's science fiction/police procedural drama, ''Life on Mars'' and its spin-off '' Ashes to Ashes''. Storylines ''Life on Mars'' Ray Carling is shown to be similar in character to his boss, DCI Gene Hunt. During ''Life on Mars'', Carling often prefers Hunt's brutality and corruption over DI Sam Tyler's ideas.
