Antoine Konrad (born 23 June 1975), better known as DJ Antoine, is a Swiss house DJ and record producer from Basel. He has a number of successful single and album releases in Western Europe, in particular Switzerland, Germany and France. Musical career Beginnings DJ Antoine was born in Sissach, Basel-Landschaft. His career officially took off in 1995, when he opened his club, House Café, in the city of Basel. This club was a benchmark for the progress of the musical scene in Basel and its cult-parties are still in fond memories. James Karnusian
Rev. James Karnusian (1926 in Beirut, Lebanon – April 8, 1998 in Bern, Switzerland) was a Swiss-Armenian pastor, writer and public activist. Biography A son of Armenian genocide survivors from Musa Ler, Karnusian was born in 1926 in a camp of refugees in Beirut. He studied at the universities of Greece and Switzerland. In 1979 he initiated the first Armenian World Congress in Paris. In 1983 on the occasion of the 60th centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne, James Karnusian organized a Pan-Armenian convention in Lausanne attended by delegates from 17 countries. "Our priority remains the recovery of Western Armenia occupied by Turkey," he explained. Metropolitan Philip (Saliba) ( ar, ) (born Abdullah Saliba; Abou Mizan, Lebanon Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was the Archbishop of New York, Metropolitan of All North America, and primate of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Hussein Naim is a Lebanese-Swiss biochemist and molecular virologist, known for his research in cell biology (membrane protein sorting and internalization) and virology (measles, SARS, HIV and Influenza). He has held several leading positions at prominent universities and biotechnology centers.
