First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but the term was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the International Cricket Council, Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. A significant omission of the ICC ruling was any attempt to define first-class cricket retrospectively. Nedumankuzhy Basil
Nedumankuzhy Paulose Basil, (born 20 October 1996) commonly known as NP Basil is an Indian cricketer who plays for Kerala in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed medium-pacer. Domestic career Basil was born on 20 October 1996 in Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district of Kerala. He started his cricketing career at Perumbavoor Cricket Club and later moved to Ernakulam District Academy. He has represented Kerala in all age-group levels. He made his first-class debut for Kerala on 27 January 2020 in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy. He played two matches in the tournament and took four wickets with a best bowling figure of 3/54 against Vidarbha. He made his List A debut on 20 February 2021 for Kerala in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ahmed Farzeen (born 10 January 1992) is an Indian first-class cricketer who plays for Kerala. He is a right-handed fast medium bowler and a right-handed lower order batsman. Career Ahmed was born in Thalassery to T. N Savan and Amina Beevi. He made his first-class cricket debut for Kerala against Jammu and Kashmir on 1 October 2015 in 2015-16 Ranji Trophy. It was his performances in C.K Nayudu Trophy that paved way to his Ranji Trophy debut. Daryl Ferrario
Daryl Sundar Ferrario (born 7 May 1998) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Kerala in domestic cricket. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm offbreak. Early life Daryl was born 7 May 1998 on Malappuram in Kerala where his mother, Amala then worked as a doctor. He was named after the South African cricketer Daryll Cullinan, who was his mother's favourite cricketer and the Ferrari car, which his father was fond of. His father, Sunder Singh introduced him to cricket. Aged barely six, Daryl started to represent local cricket sides in the U-10 category in Chennai. He started his cricket training at J.S. Jonathon Robert Dean (born 23 June 1984 in Bathurst, New South Wales) is an Australian former cricketer and former head coach of the ACT Meteors. He was a right-handed batsman. Sony Kuriakose Cheruvathur (born 26 August 1978) is a former Indian cricketer who played for Kerala in domestic cricket. He is an all-rounder who plays as a right-handed middle order batsman and right arm medium-fast bowler. He made his List A debut in the 2001/02 season. He made his first-class debut for Kerala on 15 November 2003 in the 2003–04 Ranji Trophy against Railways.
