First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. A significant omission of the ICC ruling was any attempt to define first-class cricket retrospectively. Jagadeesh Arunkumar
Jagadeesh Arunkumar (born 18 January 1975), in Bangalore, Karnataka, is an Indian first-class cricketer & Cricket Coach who played for Karnataka. He was a right-handed opening batsman. He currently serves as the coach of the USA National Cricket Team. Playing career He played in more than 100 first-class games, scoring 7,208 runs including 20 centuries. He had previously represented India on Under 19 tours of South Africa and England. He also played for the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the 2008 Indian Premier League. Coaching career Arunkumar was appointed as batting coach of the Karnataka State Ranji Trophy team on 24 July 2012 where Karnataka had won back-to-back winning the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2013-14 and 2014–15. Stuart Binny
Stuart Terence Roger Binny (born 3 June 1984) is an Indian former international cricketer, who had played One Day Internationals, Twenty20 Internationals, and Tests. He played for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. On 30 August 2021, Binny announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Binny is the current Indian record holder for best bowling spell in an ODI, as he claimed 6 wickets for 4 runs against Bangladesh in 2014. Roger Binny
Roger Michael Humphrey Binny (born 19 July 1955) is an Indian former international cricketer who is the 36th and incumbent president of Board of Control for Cricket in India. He was the president of Karnataka State Cricket Association from 2019 to 2022. Binny won the 1983 Cricket World Cup and the 1985 World Championship of Cricket, being India's highest wicket taker in both tournaments. He was also the head coach of the Indian U-19 team that won the 2000 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and has served as a national selector. Shishir Bhavane
Shishir Anil Bhavane (born 24 September 1991) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Karnataka cricket team. He bats left-handed and bowls right-arm off break. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the 2015 IPL auction for his base price of Rs.10 lakh. Career Between 2005/06 and 2014/15, Bhavane played for various age-group teams of Karnataka including Under-15s, Under-17s, Under-19s, Under-22s, Under-23s and Under-25s. Bhavane played for the Mysore Warriors in the 2014-15 Karnataka Premier League in which he scored 307 runs at an average of 76.50 and won the man of the tournament award. Rajoo Bhatkal
Rajoo Bhatkal (born 1 September 1985) is an Indian former first-class cricketer. He played as a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy, one day games and Inter-State T20 tournament. Other teams he played for included Malnad Gladiators and IPL Franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. Raghuram Bhat
Adwai Raghuram Bhat (born 16 April 1958) is a former Indian cricketer who played in two Test matches in 1983. Domestic career Raghuram Bhat dominated school and junior level games. After some fine performances, he made his Ranji trophy debut in the 1979–80 season against Tamil Nadu at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He had a slow start to his career taking just one wicket on his debut game. He soon found success at the Ranji level. In just his 6th first class game he picked up 9 wickets against Kerala at Davangere. Vijay Bharadwaj
Raghvendrarao Vijay Bharadwaj (; born 15 August 1975) is a former Indian cricketer & cricket coach. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm offbreak bowler. He won the ''Man of the Series'' award on his debut one day international series against South Africa in the LG Cup in Kenya in the 1999–2000 season. He was a key architect of Karnataka's three Ranji Trophy triumphs in the 1990s. He was the chairman of selection committee for under-19 Karnataka team as well.
