IMG Academy is a preparatory boarding school and sports training destination in Bradenton, Florida, United States. IMG Academy is set across over 600 acres and features programs consisting of sport camps for youth athletes, adult camps, a boarding school, including a post-graduate/ gap-year program, events, professional and collegiate training, group hosting, and corporate retreats. IMG Academy is owned by Endeavor. History Nick Bollettieri founded the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in 1978. Sports company IMG purchased the academy in 1987. IMG acquired the youth division of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in 1993 and added programs for soccer and baseball in 1994. Sammis Reyes
Sammis Daniel Reyes Martel (born October 19, 1995) is a Chilean-born former professional American football tight end. He was the first player from Chile to play in the NFL. Reyes grew up playing basketball as a youth member of the Chile national team before moving to the United States on an athletic scholarship at 14. He played college basketball at Hawaii, Palm Beach State, Tulane, and Loyola–New Orleans, graduating with a Master of Business Administration degree with the latter. Despite being a student in the United States, Reyes continued to play with the Chile national team before deciding to switch to football after failing to qualify for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The first-year player draft is the primary mechanism of Major League Baseball (MLB) for assigning amateur baseball players from high schools, colleges, and other amateur baseball clubs to its teams. Logan Shane Allen (born May 23, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He previously played for the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians/Guardians and the Baltimore Orioles. Early life Allen was born in Palm Beach, Florida, and raised in Fletcher, North Carolina. Brady James Aiken (born August 16, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. Aiken was drafted by Major League Baseball's Houston Astros with the first overall pick of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign with the team. He enrolled at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida as a postgraduate student. The Cleveland Indians selected him 17th overall in the 2015 MLB draft, and released him in 2021. Grant Alden Wistrom (born July 3, 1976) is a former American college and professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. Wistrom played college football for the University of Nebraska and was a two-time All-American. He was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Anthony Lee Weaver (born July 28, 1980) is an American football coach and former player who is the associate head coach and defensive line coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). Fabian Washington (born June 9, 1983) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at Nebraska and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders 23rd overall in the 2005 NFL Draft.
