HNK Rijeka are a Croatian professional association football club based in Rijeka, Croatia who compete in the Croatian First Football League. The club was formed in July 1946 as ''NK Kvarner'', and played its first unofficial match on 7 August 1946 against Hajduk Split, winning 2–0. Rinaldo Petronio scored the first goal for the club. The first official game was played in the qualifiers for the 1946–47 Yugoslav First League against ''Unione Sportiva Operaia'' (Pula), losing 2–1 in Rijeka. HNK Rijeka
Hrvatski nogometni klub Rijeka (), commonly referred to as HNK Rijeka, is a Croatian professional association football club from the city of Rijeka. HNK Rijeka competes in Croatia's top division, Croatian First Football League, Supersport HNL, of which they have been members since its foundation in 1992 and is the 2024-25 Croatian Football League, current champion. During the reconstruction of Stadion Kantrida, their traditional home ground, they have been based at Stadion Rujevica. Rijeka's traditional home colours are all white. Zoran Kvržić
Zoran Kvržić (; born 7 August 1988) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Bosnian Premier League club Borac Banja Luka. Kvržić started his professional career at Proleter Teslić, before joining HAŠK in 2009. The following year, he switched to Osijek. In 2013, he was transferred to Rijeka, who loaned him to Spezia in 2015 and to Sheriff Tiraspol in 2016. He signed with Kayserispor in 2020. A year later, Kvržić moved to Slaven Belupo. Nediljko Labrović
Nediljko Labrović (born 10 October 1999) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Augsburg and the Croatia national team. Club career On 9 June 2021, Labrović signed a four-year contract with Rijeka where he was set to replace the outgoing Ivan Nevistić. On 17 July, he made his debut for the club as the starting goalkeeper on the opening matchday of the domestic league in a 2–0 away win over Gorica. Marin Tomasov (born 31 August 1987) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for Kazakhstan Premier League club Astana. Club career Coming from the village of Dobropoljana, on the island of Pašman, Tomasov entered the youth ranks of NK Sveti Mihovil, on the neighboring island of Ugljan, which represents both islands. Some years after, Tomasov was brought up through the NK Zadar youth academy and in 2006 he signed a professional contract with the senior team and was assigned the number 14 jersey. Andrej Prskalo (; born 1 May 1987) is a Croatian football goalkeeper, who plays for NK Opatija. Career Early years in HNK Rijeka Prskalo signed his first professional contract with HNK Rijeka on 5 August 2005. During his first season at the club they won the 2006 Croatian Cup. Prskalo was the third choice goalkeeper and did not play a single match. During his next four seasons at the club he was loaned out to low tier clubs NK Rudar Labin, NK Pomorac Kostrena and NK Orijent Rijeka. Tonči Gabrić
Tonči Gabrić (11 November 1961 – 28 October 2024) was a Croatian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Gabrić started his career in RNK Split. He played for Čelik Zenica before moving to HNK Rijeka where he was the team captain. After the dissolution of Yugoslavia, he played in Greece with PAOK, before returning to Croatia where he played for Pazinka for a season, before ending his career at Hajduk Split. International career Gabrić made his debut for Croatia in an October 1990 friendly match against the United States, coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for Dražen Ladić.
