List Of Eurovision Song Contest Presenters
The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual international song competition, held every year by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956. This page is a list of people who have acted as presenters of the contest. Since 1988, it has been the norm to have at least two presenters for the contest. All contests before 1978, while only three after 1988 (i.e. the 1993, 1995 and 2013 contests), have had one presenter. The 1999 contest was the first to feature three presenters, a method that has been used most often since 2010. The contests from 2018 to 2021 all had four presenters each. Katie Boyle holds the record for the highest number of contests hosted, with four editions (in 1960, 1963, 1968 and 1974), followed by Petra Mede with three editions (2013, 2016 and 2024) and a special (''Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits'' in 2015); including the semi-finals, Mede is to date the person who has hosted the most Eurovision broadcasts, with ten. Petra (; "Rock"), originally known to its inhabitants as Raqmu (Nabataean Aramaic, Nabataean: or , *''Raqēmō''), is an ancient city and archaeological site in southern Jordan. Willy Dobbe
Willy Dobbe (born 2 January 1944) is a Dutch television announcer and former television presenter. She was the host of the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest and also presented the Dutch national finals for the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, 1971 and 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, 1972 contests. Career Dobbe was born in The Hague and obtained a degree as beautician. In 1967 she joined the broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting and became a television announcer, which she remained for 5 years before moving to the TROS in 1972. In 1970, Dobbe was asked to host the Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam. She maintained her Eurovision connection for two more years, when she hosted the Nationaal Songfestival consecutively in 1971 and 1972. Janet Dorothy Leeming (née Atkins; born 5 January 1942) is an English television presenter and newsreader. Early life and education Leeming was born in Barnehurst, Kent, and educated at the Assumption Convent, Charlton and St Joseph's Convent Grammar School, Abbey Wood. Doireann Ní Bhriain
Doireann Ní Bhriain (; born 1952) is an Irish independent radio producer. She began her career as a radio and television journalist, and started out reading children's stories on television. From those beginnings, she went on to work for the Irish broadcaster RTÉ for over 20 years before moving on in 1993. She is best known for her work and affiliation with RTÉ Radio 1. Marlous Fluitsma
Maria Louise Clara Albertine Fluitsma (born 12 December 1946), known as Marlous Fluitsma, is a Dutch actress, known for her roles in Dutch films and on television in various Dutch language series. She was well-known to Europeans outside the Netherlands for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 1980, held in The Hague. Early life Fluitsma grew up in Nijmegen where her father was a teacher. Daniel Pe'er (born Daniel Freudenreich, ; 2 January 1943 – 28 September 2017) was an Israeli television host and newsreader. Early life Daniel Freudenreich was born in Jerusalem, British Mandate of Palestine, to a Jewish family. He studied at Balfour school and the Ironi Aleph High School in Tel Aviv. He served in the Israel Defense Forces as a psychotechnical interviewer. He majored in Hebrew literature and English linguistics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and received a teaching certificate in English, where he continued his graduate studies at the Institute of Communication. Yardena Arazi
Yardena Shulamit Arazi (; born Yardena Finebaum; September 25, 1951) is an Israeli singer and entertainer. In 2008 Arazi was named the most popular Israeli singer of all time at the 60th Independence Day celebration. Early life Yardena Finebaum was born in kibbutz Kabri, Israel. Her father was an immigrant from Germany who was an Irgun veteran and one of the founders of kibbutz Beit HaArava. Her mother was an immigrant from France with origins in Poland and Ukraine, and was a cousin of Marcel Marceau. At the age of two, her family moved to Haifa, Israel, where she grew up. Léon Zitrone
Léon Zitrone (25 November 1914 – 25 November 1995) was a Russian-born French journalist and television presenter. Biography Zitrone was born in Petrograd, Russia. He arrived in France with his family fleeing communism at the age of six. He graduated from the ESJ Paris. He began by training in scientific studies but his mastership of Russian, French, English and German gave him entrance in 1948 to the radio foreign broadcasting services of Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF). In 1959, he joined the television activity of RTF. From 1961, he became news presenter, function he occupied for nearly 20 years, first until 1975, on the first French television channel (now TF1), then also on Antenne 2, the other public service channel. Denise Fabre
Denise Fabre (born 5 September 1942) is a French former television personality, best known for her role as an in-vision continuity announcer. She is now municipal advisor to the presiding mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi. Biography Fabre, born in Cagnes-sur-Mer, began her career with Télé Monte Carlo in 1961 before she progressed to announcing work with Antenne 2 (now ''France 2'') and most famously, TF1, where Fabre was chief announcer until live continuity was axed in 1992. Angela May Rippon (born 12 October 1944) is an English broadcaster, former newsreader, writer and journalist. Rippon presented radio and television news programmes in South West England before moving to BBC One's ''BBC Nine O'Clock News, Nine O'Clock News'', becoming a regular presenter in 1975. Corry Brokken
Cornelia Maria "Corry" Brokken (3 December 1932 – 31 May 2016) was a Dutch singer, television presenter and jurist. In 1957, she won the second edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song " Net als toen", representing the Netherlands. Throughout her career, she scored a number of hits, sang in the popular ''Sleeswijk Revue'' with Snip en Snap, and had her own television show. She was also the presenter of the Eurovision Song Contest 1976, which was held in The Hague, Netherlands, following the victory of Teach-In the year before. Karin Falck
Anna Karin Margareta Falck (; born 6 February 1932) is a Swedish television director, hostess and producer. Career Falck was born in Säffle, Värmland County and lived her first six years of life in Karlstad. She moved with her mother and younger brother to Stockholm when she was 6 years old since her father died. In her youth, she dreamed of playing ice hockey. When Falck started on TV, she had studied theater history and English at Stockholm University, where she wrote an essay on children's theater. She then became an assistant to Elsa Olenius who started Barnteatern (now Vår Teater). Falck began her TV career in 1954 as a scriptwriter in Alf Sjöberg's TV set of ''Hamlet''.
