Lionsgate Television
Lionsgate Television is the television division of the American production company Lionsgate Studios. History The company was established in July 1997 as Lions Gate Television, Inc. with the establishment of Lionsgate Films. In June 1998, it acquired documentary/reality production company Termite Art Productions but that company was itself acquired by Erik Nelson in September 2004 and renamed Creative Differences. The company acquired Mandalay Television in September 1997, before acquiring a minority investment in Mandalay Entertainment outright before splitting in 2002. WIC Western International Communications Ltd. (or WIC) was a Canadian media company that operated from 1982 to 2000, with operations including broadcast and specialty television, radio, and satellite distribution via a majority interest in Canadian Satellite Communications (or Cancom). The company itself was acquired by CanWest Global Communications, which kept most of WIC's broadcast television stations and a variety of related television production assets. ''Jeremiah'' is a Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, post-apocalyptic action drama television series starring Luke Perry and Malcolm-Jamal Warner that ran on the Showtime (TV network), Showtime network from 2002 to 2004. The series takes place in a future wherein the adult population has been wiped out by a deadly virus. The series ended production in 2003, after the management of Showtime decided they were no longer interested in producing science fiction programming. Had the series continued, it would have run under a different showrunner than J. Michael Straczynski, who decided to leave following the completion of the production of the second season due to creative differences between himself and MGM Television. The WB Television Network (shortened to The WB, stylized as "THE WB", and nicknamed the "Frog Network" and/or "The Frog" for its former mascot Michigan J. Spümcø, Inc. ( ; stylized as SPÜMCØ) was an American animation studio that was active from 1989 to 2005 and based in Los Angeles, California. The studio was best known for working on the first two seasons of ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' for Nickelodeon and for various commercials. The studio won several awards, including an Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject for the music video of the song " I Miss You" by Björk. Spümcø was founded by animators John Kricfalusi, Bob Camp, Jim Smith and Lynne Naylor. Kricfalusi named the company after the fictional person "Raymond Spüm", whom he jokingly described as the inventor of animation.
