Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi (fashion Designer)
Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi (; 6 April 1980 – 1 July 2019), known professionally as Khalid Al Qasimi, was an Emirati royal and fashion designer in London who founded the ''Qasimi'' fashion label. He was the second son of Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, who has been ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah since 1972. Al Qasimi died in London on 1 July 2019. Early life and education Al Qasimi was born on April 6, 1980. He moved to London at nine years old and was educated at the Tonbridge School in Kent. In 2004, Al Qasimi won two golden prizes in the First Arab-Euro Festival for Photography organised by the Arab Photographers Union in Europe under the theme of "History, technique and heritage." Noor Al Suwaidi
Noor Al Suwaidi (Arabic: نور السويدي; born 1981) is an artist and curator from the United Arab Emirates. Biography Al Suwaidi was born in 1981. She grew up in Abu Dhabi. She went to the Al Khansaa government school in Al Buteen. She has three sisters and one brother. It was clear she had artistic talent from a young age, talent which was nurtured by her father in particular. She graduated in 2004 with a BA in Studio Art from the American University. In 2009 she graduated from Kingston University with an MA in Curating Contemporary Design. She was the first person from the Middle East to study on her MA course. Hassan Sharif
Hassan Al Sharif (1 January 1951 – 18 September 2016) was an Emirati artist and prolific writer. He lived and worked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is widely regarded as a central figure in contemporary and conceptual art in the region, often known as the father of conceptual art in the Gulf. He founded Al Marijah Art Atelier, and through his extensive work and writings, he inspired the next generation of artists in the United Arab Emirates. Abdulraheem Salim (born 1955) is an Emirati painter and sculptor born in Dubai and lives in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He is one of the first contributors to the fine art movements in the UAE alongside Hassan Sharif, Abdul Qader Al Raes and others. Maisoon Al Saleh
Maisoon Al Saleh is an Emirati visual artist based out of Dubai. Her artistic style is surrealism with commentary on modern and traditional Emirati culture. Her paintings often feature the skeletons of humans and animals. Early life and education Al Saleh was born in 1988 in Dubai where her family lived in a home they built off of Sheikh Zayed Road. At the age of 8, she began painting with oil paints on canvas with the help of her aunt, who was also an artist. She received a degree in interior design from Zayed University in January 2010. She began painting images of bones and skeletons around the age of 16 after she had an X-ray taken on her back during a medical check-up. Abdul Qader Al Rais
Abdul Qader Al Rais (Arabic: عبد القادر الريس) is a multi-award-winning, Emirati painter noted for his abstract art which combines geometric shapes with Arabic calligraphy. He is known for including calligraphy and abstracted objects in his paintings, and regarded as a colour master. Al Rais, who was inspired by the Dutch Masters and Impressionists in his earlier work, created a distinctive style that is influenced by the different elements of nature and culture in the region.
