ESPN Radio
ESPN Radio, which is alternatively branded platform-agnostically as ESPN Audio, is an American sports radio network and extension of the ESPN television network. It was launched on January 1, 1992, under the banner "SportsRadio ESPN". The network is based at the ESPN campus in Bristol, Connecticut, with multiple studio facilities nationwide, along with home studios. The network airs a regular schedule of daily and weekly programming as well as live radio play-by-play of sporting events. ESPN Radio is broadcast to hundreds of affiliate stations, along with national and Canadian carriage on Sirius XM. The network's content is also available online through its affiliates via Audacy, iHeartRadio and TuneIn, and the network also makes its programming available via podcast feeds and providers, with some additional content audio and video available through an ESPN+ subscription. ''SportsCenter'' (SC) is an American television sports news broadcasting show broadcast by ESPN. Originally anchored by Chris Berman, George Grande, Greg Gumbel, Lee Leonard, Bob Ley, Sal Marchiano and Lou Palmer, it premiered on September 7, 1979. John Clayton (sportswriter)
John Travis Clayton (May 11, 1954 – March 18, 2022) was an American sports journalist who was a National Football League (NFL) writer and reporter for ESPN, as well as a senior writer for ESPN.com. He also worked for ''The Pittsburgh Press'' and ''The News Tribune'' in Tacoma, Washington. Clayton received the Dick McCann Memorial Award (now the Bill Nunn Award) from the Pro Football Writers of America in recognition of his long-time coverage of professional football. Early life Clayton was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, on May 11, 1954. He started covering sports while he was attending Churchill Area High School. Beginning in 1972, he covered the Pittsburgh Steelers in twice-weekly dispatches for the ''Daily Press'' in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. Dave Campbell (infielder)
David Wilson Campbell (born January 14, 1942) is an American former baseball player and sportscaster. He played parts of eight seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily as an infielder for the San Diego Padres. He was nicknamed "Soup", a reference to the brand name Campbell's Soup. Biography Campbell began his playing career with the University of Michigan, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and signed with the Detroit Tigers' system as an amateur free agent in . He played as a utility infielder for the Tigers, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, and Houston Astros in a major league career that spanned eight seasons, 1967 to 1974. The Ryen Russillo Show
''The Ryen Russillo Show'' was a syndicated sports talk radio show hosted by Ryen Russillo. It was a part of ESPN Radio from 1 pm to 4pm, with all three hours also simulcasted on ESPNews. On April 26, 2017 Danny Kanell was let go by ESPN after a number of personnel were laid off, leaving only Russillo to host the show. December 22, 2017, was the last day of ''The Ryen Russillo Show'' due to a contract dispute, although Russillo's contract ran until August 2018. He will be doing weekly podcasts until his contract expires. Will Cain took over the timeslot with his own radio show on January 2, 2018. Charles Williams Cain (born March 28, 1975) is an American columnist, political analyst, and sports commentator. He hosts ''The Will Cain Show'' weekdays at 4 p.m. on the Fox News Channel. Tony Bruno
Anthony Joseph Bruno (born June 13, 1952) is an American sports talk radio host. He has worked for national American sports broadcasters including ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio, Premiere, and Sporting News Radio. Early life His father served in both the American and Italian Army where his met Bruno's mother, a Sicilian Native. He has one older sister and one younger sister. ''The V Show with Bob Valvano'' is a sports talk radio show hosted by Bob Valvano and broadcast on ESPN Radio. Normally, the show is heard Saturdays and Sundays from 1am ET to 5am ET; however, in 2009, his Friday night shows were pre-empted, and his Saturday shows shortened by one hour, during football season, mainly by Mike Tirico's ''Weekend Blitz'' and Chris Mortensen's ''The Mort Report''. Bob Valvano (born January 29, 1957) is a former college basketball coach and an American sportscaster based in Louisville, Kentucky. Broadcasting and coaching During the college-basketball season, he is the lead game analyst for ESPNRadio, and occasionally for ESPNU. When not doing those games, Valvano is the color analyst for University of Louisville men's basketball games on radio 93.9 The Ville.
