''Disenchantment (TV series), Disenchantment'' is an American fantasy animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for Netflix, who also created ''Futurama'' and ''The Simpsons'' for Fox Broadcasting Company. ''Disenchantment'' features List of Disenchantment characters, a multitude of characters including Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), Elfo (Nat Faxon), and Luci (Eric André, Eric Andre), and consists of one season (split into two parts) that was released on August 17, 2018, and September 20, 2019. Each of the first two parts consisted of 10 episodes. A 10-episode third part, the first of the second season, was released on January 15, 2021. A fourth part was released on February 9, 2022. The fifth and final 10-episode part was released on September 1, 2023. ''Disenchantment'' is an American animation satirical fantasy sitcom created by Matt Groening for Netflix. The series is Groening's first production to appear exclusively on a streaming service; he previously created ''The Simpsons'' and ''Futurama'' for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows the story of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naïve elf companion Elfo, and her destructive "personal demon" Luci. Wes Archer
Wes Archer is an American television animation director and storyboard artist. Career Archer was one of the original three animators (along with David Silverman and Bill Kopp) on ''The Simpsons'', Tracey Ullman shorts, and subsequently directed a number of ''The Simpsons'' episodes (many of which had John Swartzwelder as an episode writer) before becoming supervising director at ''King of the Hill.'' A few years later he left ''King of the Hill'' to direct for '' Futurama'', before eventually returning to ''King of the Hill''. William Lloyd Oakley (born February 27, 1966) is an American television writer and producer, known for his work on the animated comedy series '' The Simpsons''. Oakley and Josh Weinstein became best friends and writing partners at St. Albans School; Oakley then attended Harvard University and was Vice President of the '' Harvard Lampoon''. "Hansel and Gretel" (; german: Hänsel und Gretel ) is a German fairy tale collected by the German Brothers Grimm and published in 1812 in ''Grimm's Fairy Tales'' (KHM 15). It is also known as Little Step Brother and Little Step Sister. Hansel and Gretel are a brother and sister abandoned in a forest, where they fall into the hands of a witch who lives in a house made of gingerbread, cake, and candy. The cannibalistic witch intends to fatten Hansel before eventually eating him, but Gretel pushes the witch into her own oven and kills her. The two children then escape with their lives and return home with the witch's treasure. "Hansel and Gretel" is a tale of Aarne–Thompson–Uther type 327A.
