Capitol Christian Music Group (Capitol CMG) (formerly known as EMI Christian Music Group) is an American music group that, since 2013, is under the ownership of Universal Music Group. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the label is in the Christian Gospel music industry. History The music group was founded by Billy Ray Hearn in February 1976 as Sparrow Records. Flicker Records is a Christian music record label based in Franklin, Tennessee. It was founded by members of Christian rock group Audio Adrenaline. The label mainly focuses on rock/pop rock artists, though it also created a subsidiary, Big House Kids, for Christian children's music. The label was distributed by EMI starting in 1999. Fair Trade Services, formerly known as INO Records, is an American record label based in Brentwood, Tennessee, specializing in Contemporary Christian music (CCM). Facedown Records is a Christian rock record label based in Fallbrook, California, that is devoted to hardcore punk and metalcore bands (Christian and secular) with a few death metal acts such as Immortal Souls and Indwelling. Exit Records
Exit Records was an independent record label founded in 1982 and run by Mary Neely, a veteran of the music business and a host of several national rock and roll radio shows, including '' Rock Scope''. The label folded in 1987. Based in a large building on the west side of Sacramento, California, Neely set up her label with the hopes of encouraging art and creativeness over commercial success. Exit began with two small releases from the 77s and Vector before signing a production and distribution deal with A&M Records and Island Records. Included in the arrangement was a promotion deal with Bill Graham Productions. Essential Records is a contemporary Christian music, contemporary Christian record label based in Franklin, Tennessee. It is a division of the major label Sony Music Nashville. History It was established in 1992 and acquired by Brentwood Music in 1993. The label's first big hit release was "Flood (Jars of Clay song), Flood" by Jars of Clay in 1996. Diamante Music Group
Diamante Music Group was a Newport Beach, California–based independent record label distributor active from 1993 through 2004. Diamante was home to several dozen small independent record labels, some of whose artists later gained worldwide recognition. Among such were Rescue Records whose releases for San Diego–based artists P.O.D.'s '' Snuff the Punk'' and ''Brown'' and Tonéx's '' Pronounced Toe-Nay'', who later signed contracts with Atlantic Records and Jive Records respectively, elevating the desire for the Rescue Records releases. Another notable Diamante-distributed label is Tooth & Nail Records whose artists Thousand Foot Krutch and MxPx first rose to prominence as independents. Curb Records (also known as Asylum-Curb and formerly known as MCG Curb) is an American record label started by Mike Curb, originally as Sidewalk Records in 1963. From 1969 to 1973, Curb merged with MGM Records where Curb served as President of MGM and Verve Records. Cross Movement Records
Cross Movement Records is an American-based Christian hip hop record label founded by The Cross Movement. CMR, founded in 1997, had an agreement with BEC Recordings. In 2005 they made a license agreement with Reach Records' Lecrae. CMR was to release his first three solo albums. Hence solidifying the label's span of music, including Da' T.R.U.T.H. and the Cross Movement for the East Coast, and the Midwest with the artists FLAME and J.R. In 2006 a new imprint was made, Issachar Recordings, meant to release albums with different musical styles than hip hop. The first album of the label was Michelle Bonilla's R&B album: "Phenomenal" (2006). In 2007, the hip-hop duo Everyday Process was added to the CMR roster as well as Rhyme Council artist, R-Swift. Credential Recordings is a pop and rock record label in Nashville, Tennessee. The label branched out after a distribution agreement with Lowercase People Records for Switchfoot singer Jon Foreman's solo EPs, which tend to be more folk-acoustic in style.
