Cinema Of Bangladesh
The Bangladeshi Cinema, better known as Dhallywood ( bn, ঢালিউড), is the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has often been a significant film industry since the early 1970s. The dominant style of Bangladeshi cinema is melodramatic cinema, which developed from 1947 to 1990 and characterizes most films to this day. Cinema was introduced in Bangladesh in 1898 by the Bradford Bioscope Company, credited to have arranged the first film release in Bangladesh. Between 1913 and 1914, the first production company, Picture House, was opened. A 1928 short silent film titled ''Sukumari'' () was the first Bengali-produced film in the region. The first full-length film, ''The Last Kiss'', was released in 1931. Mamnun Hasan Emon, who is known by his stage name as Emon, is a Bangladeshi film actor and model. Emon started his career by modelling. He acted in several tvc's, dramas and later he started working in films and he is best known for his famous tvc add Banglalink with Monalisa, Nirab and Tinni. Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur Shabnoor (born 17 December 1977), known by her stage name Shabnoor, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film '' Dui Noyoner Alo'' (2005). Background Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur was born on 17 December 1979 at Nabharan, Jessore, Bangladesh. Her father is Shahjahan Chowdhury. She has a sister and a brother–Jhumur and Tamal. Riaz (actor)
Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique (; born 1972), commonly known as Riaz, is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, and television presenter who has appeared in more than 100 Bengali films in genres ranging from romance to action to comedies. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including three National Film Awards and seven Meril Prothom Alo Awards. He portrayed the famous literary character, Shuvro, created by Humayun Ahmed, in Daruchini Dip. Riaz first appeared onscreen as a side role in filmmaker Dewan Nazrul's social action drama '' Banglar Nayok'' (1995). He began a full-time career in film with a leading role in the highly successful romantic drama ''Praner Cheye Priyo'' (1997). Mohammad Omar Sani (born 6 May 1968), is a Bangladeshi film and television actor. Career Sani's film debut was in the 1990 film ''Chader Alo'', directed by Shaikh Najrul Islam Khan. Ferdous Ahmed (born 7 June 1974), known mononymously as Ferdous, is a Bangladeshi film actor and producer. He acts in Bangladesh and Indian Bengali films. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor 5 times for his roles in the films '' Hothat Brishti'' (1998), '' Gangajatra'' (2009), '' Kusum Kusum Prem'' (2011), '' Ek Cup Cha'' (2014) and '' Putro'' (2018).
