An architect is a person who plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings. To practice architecture means to provide services in connection with the design of buildings and the space within the site surrounding the buildings that have human occupancy or use as their principal purpose. Suhrawardy Udyan
Suhrawardy Udyan () is a national memorial and public space located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Originally known as Ramna Race Course, it holds significant historical importance due to its association with key events in the country's history. The site, covering an area of , is notably associated with two pivotal moments in Bangladeshi history: the historic speech by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 7 March 1971 calling for struggle against the Pakistani establishment and the surrender of the Pakistani forces on 16 December 1971, which marked the end of the Bangladesh War of Independence. Syed Mainul Hossain
Syed Mainul Hossain (5 May 1952 – 10 November 2014) was a Bangladeshi structural engineer and architect. He is the designer of the National Martyrs' Memorial, one of the national landmarks of Bangladesh. He was posthumously awarded the Independence Day Award in 2022. Jessore (, ), officially Jashore, is a city of Jessore District in Khulna Division. It lies in southwestern Bangladesh. It is home to the first flight training school of the Bangladeshi Air Force, established in 1971. Jessore city consists of 9 wards and 73 mahalls. Jashore municipality was established in 1864. Bogra (), List of renamed places in Bangladesh, officially Bogura, is a city located in Bogra District, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. The city is a major commercial hub in North Bengal, Northern Bangladesh. It is the second largest city in terms of both area and population in Rajshahi Division. Grameen Bank () is a microfinance, specialized community development bank founded in Bangladesh. It provides small loans (known as microcredit or "grameencredit") to the impoverished without requiring collateral. Grameen Bank is a statutory public authority. It is originated in 1976, in the work of Muhammad Yunus, a professor at the University of Chittagong, who launched a research project to study how to design a credit delivery system to provide banking services to the rural poor. Mubasshar Hussein (; 27 December 1943 – 2 January 2023) was a Bangladeshi architect, urban planner and educator. He served as President of Institute of Architects Bangladesh. Early life and education Mubasshar Hussein was born in Wari, Bangladesh on 27 December 1943. He graduated in architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1972.
