The following is a list of characters from the MTV comedy-drama television series ''Awkward'', which was created by Lauren Iungerich, and follows Jenna Hamilton, a Palos Verdes, California, teenager who struggles with her identity, especially after an accident is misconstrued as a suicide attempt. Comedy drama (also known by the portmanteau dramedy) is a hybrid genre of works that combine elements of comedy and Drama (film and television), drama.
